After years of eating at Coach's and being more than happy with our experiences, we had today what I can only think of as a rare CF when everything went wrong. Firstly, the restaurant was very busy, it being around noon on Sunday. We expected to have to wait longer than usual, but we ended up being there more than an hour without any food, which was ridiculous. Our waitress was very new, but she wrote our orders down and repeated back to us exactly what we wanted, which was correct. After about ten minutes, our drinks arrived--tea and water. My son had ordered a beer also, but the waitress said she couldn't bring it, someone else would have to. We waited and waited some more. My son finally asked about the beer and five or ten minutes later someone finally brought it. We waited a lot longer, maybe 30-40 minutes....at intervals the waitress, who was very nice and sweet, would stop by our table and tell us that our order was coming up soon, but that there were only two cooks in the kitchen and that they had a couple of big tables to serve and were very busy. We told her this was ok, that we understood. After what seemed like a very long time during which the tables all around us had gotten served she came back to say that the kitchen had lost our order but were making it now! I said, "just bring us the bill for the tea and the beer and we'll go somewhere else" so she left to get the ticket. As I paid for the beverages, the manager came out and said that our order was actually ready, so we said ok and sat back down. In a few minutes, they brought us out two plates that were NOT what we had ordered at all. My son's sandwich was right, but he was missing the fries and mac and cheese he had ordered also. I had ordered the grilled chicken entree with a side salad, slaw and mashed potatoes and they had brought me some kind of sandwich instead. I told the manager that this was not what either of us had ordered. He apologised and said that he would fix it but that it would be awhile. I looked at him and said "Sorry, but we are out of here" and we stood up and left. The new young waitress, whom I felt very sorry for, and the manager were both as nice as could be, and as I said, the restaurant was very busy. But we were in Coach's for over an hour with no food at all, and I just don't think there is any excuse for all that happened. Coach's is usually more on the ball than it was today and I was very very disappointed, not to mention HUNGRY when...
Read moreWe have been waiting to go here ever since it opened, and went Sunday late afternoon.
Still was a 20 minute wait with really no place to sit. It was kind of strange how people had to wait, when there was plenty of seating in the Bar Area, and there were several empty tables in the Main Dining Area.
Decor - Loved the photos of the local School Sports Teams Collage in the Entry Lobby, and all the Sports Teams Flags hanging from the ceiling.
There were several big screens, but instead of showing many different sports games, they showed mostly the same one football game, and then added bowling to a couple of screens.
It was a bit loud in there, but a neat atmosphere.
There is also a small Game Room with couple of video games, and an ATM.
There was also a box in the Game Room for Toys for Children for Christmas Cheer, so bring a toy when you come, to help a worthy cause.
Food -
We got the Fried Green Tomatoes, Hawaiian Chicken with Mashed Potatoes and Roasted Corn and the Sirloin with Fries and Slaw.
Appetizer was ok. Others around us had gotten Tots and Nachos, and those looked great.
Hawaiian Chicken, I wondered why there was a note that one could add an extra breast for $2, which was a little much money. We found 1 piece was quite small, so a second piece was in order. Other than that, the meal was ok.
Sirloin, it was cooked just right, although a little fatty, and for the price, not a very big piece of meat. Fries, small amount, and Slaw although good, a little too much.
Both meals came with a roll, not like a fresh baked one, like one out of a store bought bag, and no butter was served with them either.
Seems like maybe they need to hire a few more wait-staff and kitchen people, everyone was really running themselves a little ragged, but their floor managers seemed to do a great job making sure things ran smoothly.
Our Server was Kristy, and she was very nice, and did a pretty ...
Read moreMy husband and I have been going to Coach’s since they’ve opened . We have always had excellent service . Tonight we were very disappointed in the way things were being handled . When we arrived there was a party of 6 and 12 others including my husband and I . There were only 5 tables with people sitting at them . They were turning people away . My husband ask to speak to the manager . She came to the front and my husband ask her what was the hold up why were they not at least seating people ? She then stated well we just seated a party of 12 . He said ok well what about the 18 standing here and you have all those tables empty , she then said the kitchen was backed up . Well 16 of the people that were waiting with us left . My husband said you could have at least seated them and got them drinks people do understand they have to wait on food but turning them away when they can clearly see empty tables is just bad management . Apparently the kitchen wasn’t as backed up as she claimed we got our boom boom shrimp in 12 minutes and our food came out in 18 minutes which is about normal . Our waiter was amazing as he always is . Im not positive on his name but I think it is Devon he ran his rear off the whole time we were there waiting his tables and doing the hostess job . We seen two waitresses talking for 10 min instead of tending to tables . As we were leaving there were at least 15 people waiting again and they had 17 tables empty . I’m not real sure what has went on with this place but ever since new people took it over it’s went down hill . It’s just sad because we really love this place . We are just sad to see how bad it’s gotten when they use to care about...
