I went to Uber bagels this morning after I had called in and ordered a sandwich over the phone. I was told it would be behind the register when I got there. When I got there, my order was not behind the register and a gentleman walked back in the store with my food that he had opened and touched and gave to the cashier stating, “ his food was not in the bag”. The cashier handed me the same bag that the gentleman had just returned and touched and said I apologize here is your food. I said to him “I do not want food that someone else touched”. He said I will take care of it, then went in the back where I could clearly see him and the only thing he did was re-bag the sandwich. He did not get a fresh bagel, he did not toast or re-make the egg or bacon. With Covid and all these unknown diseases, I cannot believe he had given me something that someone else took outside and touched. He then repackaged it as if I was stupid and handed me the same sandwich. I then called and asked to speak to a manager. He put some woman on the phone who said her name was Marion. She sounded Hispanic (no punt intended) and she was very rude and disrespectful. I asked her why was she being rude when I was the customer calling in with the complaint. I asked was she the manager? She paused and said I am the manager for now. I asked could I speak with the real manager or owner? She said he was not there. I asked what was his name and number. She said she could not give me his number, but his name was Bosley. I then asked when he would be in. She then said he only comes in once a week. I asked what day and she said maybe Friday. I said I will call back every day until I reach him. This place is disgusting for what they did and I am reporting their establishment to the department of health and will never eat or purchase anything at this store again. I ordered food from them several days ago, and part of my order was not even in the bag yet I was...
Read moreCustomer service here isn't actively bad, but isn't actively great either - and that's not just the staff, it's more of the entire customer experience being sub par outside of the part that goes in your mouth. I ordered online yesterday and found their toast ordering options to be difficult to use and had to use the notes field to request condiments not listed. When I went to pick up my to go order, I discovered upon getting all the way home, that my chips weren't included. Drove all the way back for less than 2 dollars of chips and the cashier tells me "you just pick up your own chips and shrugs" when I asked if it was a mistake. Cool... Then put a sign telling your customers this! Or make it very clear when ordering online that you get your own chips at pickup - how would that even work for Door Dash or delivery??? How am I supposed to psychically know THIS? I feel in general they aren't customer oriented. There are no cups for water, they don't have any front staff for answering questions, the two times I've been in there they have long lines and only one cashier, and they don't even put your chips in your bag for to go orders (but they do have a tip feature for the service!) With all the choices you have around there, I'd probably choose elsewhere given my only two experiences there. This is also petty, but as someone who gets easily overwhelmed by high pitched noises, this place has an insanely annoying, persistent, high pitched EMI whine that makes me physically uncomfortable in...
Read moreOrdering: This was about the only part of the visit that was easy. The cashier was nice, patient, and helpful. It did take about 10 mins to order waiting in line.
The WAIT: Did I really just spend an hour here for bagels? Yes, that's correct! No one seemed to know where our order was or how to go about finding it. Finally they said they were making it now. After another 15 mins or so a bag of cold flaccid food emerged.
The Food: Honestly, nothing to write home about. The cinnamon sugar bagel was ok. Crisp cinnamon sugar goodness with a chewy texture. They were out of honey walnut cream cheese so I opted for the veggie instead. It was flavorful.
The Crab Dip bowl (not sure the name) came with seasoned potatoes, diced sausage, cheese, 2 fried eggs, and about 2 tablespoons of crab dip on the side. It was ok; I'm sure it could have been better had it not been so cold. It wasn't a dish best served reheated. This was a missed opportunity to do justice to a quick DMV breakfast with crab.
The breakfast bagel again was ordinary. The sausage patty was a bit undercooked but tolerable with the rest of the sandwich.
The value: This was a pricey meal for two bagels and one breakfast bowl that didn't really satisfy. Being a first time customer I'm less than impressed. Not sure I'd try again. The coffee was free due...
