Upon my recent visit to a quaint yet refined eatery, I had the distinct pleasure of partaking in their Tonkotsu noodles and Matcha Boba Tea, a pairing as harmonious as it was exquisite.
The Tonkotsu noodles, a delicate symphony of flavours, were nothing short of sublime. The broth, rich and velvety, possessed a depth that can only be achieved through meticulous simmering, while the noodles themselves maintained the perfect balance of chew and softness. Each mouthful was an indulgence, the tender pork slices melting into the broth, enhanced by the subtle savour of spring onions and a hint of garlic. It was, quite simply, a masterclass in culinary restraint and craftsmanship.
As for the Matcha Boba Tea, it was a refreshingly sophisticated affair. The vibrant green hue of the matcha hinted at its authentic quality, while the earthy bitterness was offset by the soft sweetness of the pearls, which offered a playful texture that delighted with every sip. Its presentation, served in a plastic cup as delicate as the drink itself, mirrored the care and precision evident in its preparation.
In sum, this meal was not merely sustenance but a refined experience. One does not often encounter such attention to detail in both taste and presentation, and I shall undoubtedly return to savour it once...
Read moreI am not a trained food expert, I am simply a home cook and I enjoy experimenting with a diverse variety of flavors. That said the flavors for the sushi burrito fell really flat for my own personal taste. The rice was very much average. Which is not a bad thing but it's also not a good thing. My order was slightly salty potentially due to 3 different Sauces being chosen (Yuzu, Chili Hot Sauce, and Eel). I also got their Taro Milk Tea (50% Sugar and brown sugar boba). The taro flavors were very mild and the color seems to be a little dark. Overall both items I got were okay. I will come back to try other items on the menu. [Bonus: Boba buying tip if you want more flavor get less ice. If you are conscious of your sugar intake you can adjust sugar levels i.e: less sugar.]
The interior was super nice! I loved all the wood and the lighting was balanced. The service was phenomenal and the people are friendly. (Maybe more eye contact while taking my money though 🥹) Service was also quick and I think the owner? Gave me a spoon of rice when I asked. :) Also unlike other establishments that use a line assembly this one covers the food!
The bathroom was nice enough I didn't stay in their long enough to really see everything. It was a pleasant...
Read moreI came here to pick up some poke bowls and bubble tea for a nice work from home lunch. I loved how customizable the bowls were (I'm NEVER the one to get a premade bowl at a poke bowl place, although they have those as well if you don't like the stress of having so many choices). There were also other options outside of the typical fishes (one of our orders included a poke bowl but with chicken and shrimp). And the quality of the ingredients was great (shout-out to having well good rice! Rice might feel like the least exciting part of the dish, but bad rice really ruins things). The bubble tea was great too - good tapioca sweetness and texture. This is a great new addition to the area and I definitely...
