Luckily, the food was as good as it always is. The unfortunate thing with this experience is our server was TERRIBLE! It took over 35 minutes to get a glass of unsweet tea...and after we asked the server (Christian??) FOUR times. He didn't wait for everyone's appetizer order (he said he was going to get a pen, then disappeared). He returned about 10 minutes later with the appetizer, so we got one before the 2nd even got ordered. Then, at one point he came and asked us if we wanted our main courses!? Of course we wanted them! It makes sense if he thought we might not want them at that very moment, but...the food was already waiting for him to bring it to us (we saw it on the counter when he went to get it). WHY ASK IF WE WANTED IT!?!?
Almost immediately after bringing our salads, Christian brought us two plates of food. One was shrimp pasta (none of us ordered shrimp) and the other was Fetucini Alfredo with chicken. We reminded him we did not order meat (we were observing Lent and not eating meat). The plates weren't what we ordered, and we even told him what we ordered and he asked us "Are you sure?" as he curiously looked at the ticket. He brought us food meant for the table behind us.
Spraking of the Fetucini Alfredo, I forgot to mention that my son ordered fetucini Alfredo with no meat (no chicken since we are observing Lent and not eating meat). When our food finally did arrive, Christian brought a plate of fetucini alfredo with chicken. My son just took the chicken off, but that chicken could have been used for another guest who actually ordered meat.
The table behind us also had other issues with his service. They got food delivered before they even had silverware...and they had to ask for it...TWICE! The lady had to ask him for water three times before she got it.
Sorry, Christian, but the no tip was earned tonight. Please be more attentive, and tips will...
Read moreCarrabba's sent me an e-mail for the Amore 3 course dinner for two ($44 for 2 people) so, since the wife and I don't eat out that often, we decided to give this location a try. (we usually go to the Bowie Carrabba's location) We went on a Thursday night and was seated immediately and that was great! When the server arrived, I showed her the special on my phone and she asked what would you like to order. I ordered 1st and majority of the "included" sides had an upcharge (the e-mail special didn't state that) so...ok, I will pay for the upcharge for my asparagus. My second side was fries, please don't add the parmesan or truffle to my fries. (I just don't like parmesan truffle fries) Server stated no problem. My wife ordered and the bread arrived shortly afterwards...we dipped the bread into the dipping oil and it was completely salty. (we added some of the table provided oil-still salty) My wife calamari appetizer arrived and that was salty as well. Our food arrived, she didn't like the taste of her entrée; but we didn't even complain about anything. After I finished eating (my wife barely ate anything) I asked for the check and I was charged an upcharge for the fries as well and for marinara that came with the calamari. (my wife asked for a container to put her marinara in) I asked my server, why would I be charged for parmesan and truffle if I asked for that to be removed and charged for extra marinara? She stated she couldn't change it...then she took the bill and deducted it from the bill. I decided to just pay the amount and just leave...but 1st, I decided to use their restroom. (huge mistake) I walked into the restroom and it smelled disgusting and looked disgusting! Let's just say...I won't be going back to that location and I live in...
Read moreMy wife and I have been coming to this Carrabbas for as long as it’s been open. First the good: the house salad is excellent, the bread is very good and the flavors of everything we ordered was good. Now the bad: the appetizer (calamari) was fine but it came out before our drinks and with no side plates. Our server AJ seemed like a pleasant guy but it didn’t seem like he understood how things should come out. I ordered the Chicken Bryan, it’s been my favorite entré for years. The chicken was very dry/overcooked as was the broccoli and the additional side I ordered, the penne pomodoro. As I said - all the flavors were there but it was cooked to death. My wife who is a light eater, ordered the shrimp scampi appetizer as a main course. The shrimp were rubbery and overcooked and the garlic toast appeared to have been yesterday’s bread heels and were too hard to eat. The shrimp was just lying in the same garlic sauce they brought out with the calamari. There was zero effort put in to make a shrimp scampi. I used a $75 gift card to pay ( it was a night out for us on my birthday). The tab came up to $76 and change so I gave AJ the card and a $20. I was highly embarrassed when he yelled from the bar register over to our table if I wanted my change back. Assuming your tip is a pretty unprofessional. 6pm on a Saturday night with a half empty parking lot should have been a tip off. I would not recommend this place anymore. It used to be me and my wife’s favorite Italian restaurant. I literally left apologizing to my wife for dragging her here. I don’t know who owns or manages this place now but it’s fallen way off. I gave it 2 stars because the flavors are still there. Not much else...
