Checkers — Restaurant in Maryland

After several years away from the familiar red-and-black checkered awnings of Checkers in Nashville, I recently had the chance to revisit this fast-food staple right outside of Baltimore and let me tell you, it felt like a flavorful homecoming.

First off, the fries are still undefeated. Crispy, seasoned just right, and piping hot—Checkers’ fries remain a cornerstone in the fast-food world. Whether you’re craving a snack or need something to balance out a juicy burger, they hit every time.

The burger? Just as bold and greasy-good as I remember. Chargrilled, flavorful, and stacked with all the essentials, it brought back memories of late-night runs and after-game bites with friends. And speaking of late nights—Checkers is one of the latest open burger spots I know in Fort Worth, which makes it a go-to when everything else is dark and your cravings are loud.

It’s not fancy food. It’s comfort food—fast, flavorful, and just the right amount of indulgent. For anyone who hasn't had it in a while, I highly recommend making a pit stop. Whether you're new to town or just missing a taste of the past like I was, Checkers is worth...

Today while placing my order, I asked the rep how much extra was it to upsize my drink with my combo to a slushy, a price wasn't quoted but rather she said hold on and another lady got on the intercom. I asked the same question and she said its actually cheaper because the slushies were cheaper than the drink so I said I'll take it. (Blue raspberry kool-aid slush was to die for) So anyways I pull round front thinking I was gonna pay 10 something plus tax but apparently I didnt read the chart right because my wing combo came up to 15 bucks. When it was time to pay I thought an error was made but nope, the combo was 15, and I only had 12 on me...just enough for what I thought it was going to cost with tax. I told the lady how much I had on me....Get this, the lady...her name was Keisha, she said "I'm sorry for the misunderstanding, let me see what I can do to help u out, she used a coupon and took what I had. My wings were good, my fries were hot my slushy was cold and I drove away feeling valued. Next time I'm there I'm gonna start a pay it forward line. This is By far the worst Checkers and Fast Food restaurant that I’ve ever been to. I’ve had a few really bad experiences at this store . The young adults are VERY rude and ignorant , one of the young adults even made a threat . It’s a poorly managed store . They don’t teach their young employees Proper Customer Service. I placed an order and had to wait over 20 mins for my Food and the only reason I got it was because I got out my vehicle to question how much longer my order was gonna be . The staff was Extremely rude . They were on there phones and standing around talking . It’s sad that paying customers have to have these kinds of experiences. Customers pay there hard earned money and deserve better treatment and service than that . I asked for names and the manager told me she wasn’t giving me her name or the other employees names .What ever happened to wearing name badges ??I wish the CEO would get more involved with this store , this store is in my community and My family and I should be able to come here and receive good service . I will be taking it a step further tomorrow because this TRULY...
