Food is good... when you can get it. Most common issue is not having items on their menu. The location has been open long enough to gauge the demand of specific menu items and plan their supply accordingly, but they don't. Hours on website and door say they are open on Tuesday but on two different occasions I have called and called with no one answering phone. Even drove to the store thinking they were busy. They were in the store but not taking their regular customers due to a catering customer. Called today was told they didn't have the item I've grown to love them for, again (haven't had this item in several weeks). Asked for a plain piece of salmon and was told they could only give me chopped up salmon in the form of a platter. Asked about rotisserie chicken and was told it was being made but would take 2 hours. They opened at 11. I would think they would be prepped and ready to serve customers before they opened their doors. But at 2 pm they still were not ready to do so. Hung up and decided to find another place to eat. Later decided I would get protein from somewhere else and get Mac n cheese and fried cabbage as sides from this establishment. When I arrived at store they told me they did not have these items either. These are sides. Staples on their menu. You don't have these either?!? It is frustrating because they have the potential to be a 5 star brand. They are losing money and I'm not sure why I'm more frustrated about this than them. My business mind just doesn't understand how they manage their business and why money is constantly being left on the table. Would not normally write a review for something like this but unavailability of items has been an issue for over a year and slowly but surely gets worse everytime I try to give...
Read moreI ordered the grilled salmon wrap which is supposed to “include fresh cut broccoli, red peppers, green peppers, yellow seasoned rice and Shareef’s special sauce”. I attempted to order mac and cheese and fries as well but they were out of mac and their fryer was down which eliminated a good portion of the menu. So I ended up just getting the wrap alone. However, when I opened it up I only saw rice and sauce. I took the wrap back and told them it was 99% rice. I then opened it up to show the young lady who rang me up. She proceeded to tell me the salmon was “right there”. I said where? She says “right there” then explains wraps only have 2 oz of chopped salmon (even though the menu says “premium grilled salmon” and it tasted like bumblebee canned salmon). But ok, I’ll take that. I then ask so where’s the broccoli and peppers? Again she tells me “right there”. I was so baffled that I couldn’t speak. Please let me know if y’all see anything other than rice and a few flakes of salmon. I do wear glasses so I may be missing something, but I don’t think so. She then offered to have it remade but says it’ll probably be the same. Sooo, a waste of time right? Right. At this point I was already halfway through my lunch break so I decided to take my L along with my rice wrap and go. Needless to say I won’t be patronizing this business again. I was already reluctant because of a less than pleasant experience I’ve had before but I decided to give them another chance....
Read moreThere is no question about the food quality - it’s Shareef’s. However, my low rating stems from my disappointment in the customer service at this location. I placed an online order this evening, which included an order of wings. Paid for the order online, made my way to pick it up. Get to the storefront and the cashier informed me that my wings, priced $6 online, were out and unavailable. He offered 2-3 PARTY wings instead of 2 WHOLE wings - like be for real. Expressing my disapproval of his barter, we agreed on 5. He then bagged my order and said he included 4 AFTER we agreed on an amount. When questioned about the change, he said 5 wings were worth more than my price. Now I get it, inflation and food costs are high as hell, but it’s dishonest and poor service to 1) not communicate with the customer that you’re out of something they ordered after they’ve already paid, (2) go back on a concession after you’ve...
