As a devoted Chipotle enthusiast, I’ve frequented various locations, but my recent visits to the Chipotle Mexican Grill in West Ocean City, Maryland have left me disheartened. It’s important to share my experience to highlight areas that need improvement. One significant concern is the overall cleanliness of the restaurant. It’s evident that the restroom consistently appears unkempt and unclean, giving off the impression that maintenance isn’t a priority. A clean restroom is fundamental for a pleasant dining experience and reflects on the restaurant’s commitment to hygiene.
Additionally, my attention was drawn to the filtration system above where they prepare the food, particularly the filters above the rice station. These filters seemed neglected and haven’t been adequately cleaned or replaced. The presence of visible debris and dirt was off-putting, making it clear that regular upkeep of essential areas is lacking. I believe in the potential of Chipotle to offer exceptional dining experiences, and I hope my feedback can encourage the management to address these concerns promptly. Read moreMy family and I were visiting OC Maryland for the weekend and decided to stop in chipotle the afternoon before we left. Upon arrival we noticed how busy the location was; however, that did not take away from the cleanliness of the restaurant or the friendliness of the staff. We waited in line for about 15 minutes which was understandable as we came in the middle of the afternoon when most people order lunch. When it was our turn to order we were greeted with a warm welcome and pleasant gestures from all the staff on the line and the girl in charge of the cash register. They moved quickly but at the same time payed attention to our order making sure we got our moneys worth! Especially with the guac;) We ended up eating on the outside patio and our food tasted great like always. It was even a pleasant surprise as one of the workers offered to wipe our table down before we took a seat! With a restaurant that busy most fast food places would simply disregard the type of customer service we experienced as well as the crew looking understaffed. Not that hungry, ordered a kids meal, to get to checkout and rudely be told “that’s not a kids meal” after the first employee made three tacos for me (after requesting a kids meal). Rather than just explain it & ring it in, one of the staff, who gave the presence or ego of some type of manager, tossed out all three tacos to “remake” the kids meal with the same ingredients, minus rice and one tortilla, to make it a “kids meal.” We asked THREE times for the order to be “for here”, and it kept getting bagged. Took another three attempts for them to properly ring up the order. Three tacos tossed, and never even got my chips with my kids meal. In an industry based around customer service, this management team certainly failed. Absolutely horrible experience with Chipotle, and hopefully someone from management actually takes time to read these reviews after all of the low ratings this location has...
