The West OC Chick-fil-A absolutely sucks. The people are friendly enough, but they have serious issues with efficiency and order accuracy. I've eaten here plenty of times and I've had the occasional problem as far back as I can remember, but it seems to be getting consistently worse. A month or so ago, I placed a mobile order for my office that included some "custom" salads (meaning grilled nuggets instead of the standard regular nuggets). We received at least three salads with "grilled nugget" labels on the salad container but regular nuggets in the container. This is far from the first time something like this has happened. They also forgot to include all of the extra stuff that comes with the salads (also not the first time). You want a custom order from here? Keep your fingers crossed. If I had to guess, they probably get my order wrong at least 25% of the time, which is pathetic. Today, I had a catering order (medium nugget tray) that I'd placed on the app the previous day. It was scheduled for pick-up at 11:30. I got there about five minutes late and checked in. I talked to the lady next to me and found out she'd been there since 11:10 for a catering order that was supposed to be ready between 11:00 and 11:15. By this time, it was close to 11:45, so I knew my order was going to be a while if she still hadn't gotten her order. By 11:55, after I'd waited inside for 20 minutes, I asked for an update on my nuggets. Five minutes later, I finally got them (30 minutes after they were scheduled). I'd also ordered an extra sauce and they gave me the wrong kind, which I didn't notice while I was there to do something about it because I only checked to make sure there were two sauces in the bag (and how hard is it to get two sauces correct?!). If you don't double check your order before you leave, you're likely to get screwed. I'll admit they were slammed. Both lanes of the drive-thru were full and there was a small line inside. But what's the point of scheduling a catering order if they're not going to have the food ready by the time you request? This also isn't the first time I've had a catering order take forever at this location (I guess I'm the idiot for expecting things to get better). I got a nugget tray. I wasn't asking for a tray of Chick-fil-A cool wraps or something time consuming. I'm sure they handed out way over 120 nuggets to the people in the drive-thru and the people that walked up inside while I waited. It seems like the priority is to keep the drive-thru line moving...not that it moves fast here. Their drive-thru can be agonizingly slow. If this wasn't the only Chick-fil-A within 20 miles, I'd...
Read moreWe went 20 mins out of our way to drive to our nearest Chick-fil-A because it was a long day, my son is on the spectrum and only eats a limited amount of things, and have always appreciated the quality of service from this franchise. I understand that many of the employees are young and, maybe after a long shift, may be stressed, frustrated, tired, what have you. However, the chasier (Amber) who helped us last night was so incredibly unpleasant that even the other 4 people in the car with me mentioned something about it directly after she took the order and we went to wait for our food. Thank goodness, after we weren't offered a receipt by her, I asked for one at the window. You could tell this was disorganized team. Maybe they were understaffed or a machine was down, maybe it was poor management. Whatever the reason, the poor boy running the food to multiple cars had no idea whose order was whose. It took about 20 mins for us to get our food. Then we noticed none of our sauces or dressing were given, and noticing how busy they were, someone got out and went to get the sauces and dressing themselves and we were given 4 sauces for 5 of us. I know this isn't the biggest deal, but I know for a fact that everyone is allowed at least 2 (per their app). At this point, approaching 30 mins, we decide to park and enjoy our food as it was. It had been so long, that one of our party decided to walk to the nearby gas station to use their restroom. Giving out the food, we noticed that one of our Large fries were missing. We drove back to the window and spoke to Amber again, who was noticeably annoyed with us and told us she was only taking orders. I explained to her, as I showed her the receipt that I had to ask for, that she could grab what we were missing and we'd be on our way. She comes back with the fries. We park again and our friend comes back. He notices that his large fry is also missing. According to our receipt, we placed our order at 9:15 pm. A good 45 mins before the closed. It was now 9:47 pm. We were completely done with this establishment and decided to just share the fries we had and head home- a 3 hour drive. Needless to say, I did not expect to pay Chick-fil-A prices and have such a terrible experience! Whoever runs the night shift needs to do a better job, and the operator needs to ensure proper training. It's unbelievably frustrating. It wasn't worth the money and certainly...
Read moreLove me some Chik-fil-a, but this location left a bad taste in my mouth. Ordered online for pick-up. Upon arrival was informed that they had no wraps to make my grilled chicken wrap with. Was offered a side salad, not a whole salad, with the grilled chicken, as a replacement. Mind you the wrap is $8.55, not exactly a fair trade replacement. The first gentlemen that helped me was great, he was helpful & good spirited in finding what would be a good replacement. So I suggested to just put what was in the wrap on a bun instead, he asked his manager and they said they couldn’t do it. So I suggested they put the wrap contents into a bowl and just give me a bun on the side. The gentlemen went to ask his manger again, to which this woman in a tan shirt and a bad attitude came to the window and again, I was met with, they could not do that. I asked what the issue was? As they were going to put the salad they offered as a replacement in a bowl correct? She stated that her kitchen manager said it wasn’t a possibility and that they can’t ring it up that way? Seems like a silly excuse since I already paid when order was place and they were only substituting a bun for a wrap.. At this point I was offered a grilled chicken club sandwich. It was gross, and it was NOT my pleasure eating from this establishment. Some places the customer is NOT always right.. The spicy chicken sandwiches were also way spicier than normal, and waffle fries tasted off. I would NOT recommend this location based off of terrible customer service and food not being up to par as the rest of the chili-fil-a...
