As a local resident with celiac disease, my dining experiences are often challenging due to my need to meticulously avoid gluten. Micky Fins Bar & Grill, despite having a limited selection for those of us with this condition, stands out with its quality offerings. One of my favorite gluten-free dishes is the chicken nachos. The addition of corn to this menu item is not only unique but also a delightful and welcome surprise. The flavors are well-balanced, and the corn adds a satisfying crunch that elevates the dish. Another excellent choice for those seeking gluten-free options are the deviled eggs. They are prepared with care, and the flavors are rich and satisfying. While the current gluten-free options at Micky Fins are wonderful, I do hope that, as a local resident, the restaurant will consider expanding their gluten-free menu. With more choices, I and others with similar dietary needs would be able to enjoy Micky Fins on a more regular basis. Here's to hoping for an even more inclusive menu in the future!

The ambience is always peaceful & relaxing. The staff is on point & focused on the customer. The food is always great. However we are so disappointed, we are on vacation & always make it a point to go to Micky Fins for the LOBSTER TACOS. It was no longer on the menu & the waitress confirmed it, NO LONGER SERVING IT. They were the best tacos ever, please put them back on the menu. We will be here for 3 more days, at least do a special menu for them. We would be very grateful. Thank-you, keep up the good work. UPDATE: AFTER MY REVIEW, THE NEXT DAY THEY OFFERED THE LOBSTER TACOS ON LUNCH SPECIAL. WE WERE INCREDIBLY HAPPY AS THIS IS THE BEST LOBSTER TACO EVER. MICKY FINS BAR, OUR COMPLIMENTS TO THE CHEF & TO THE PERSON WHO TOOK THE TIME TO READ OUT REVIEW ,& PUT IT INTO ACTION, YOU ARE DEFINITELY AN ASSET TO ESTABLISHMENT.

We had a wonderful experience at this seafood restaurant. The salmon, shrimp, calamari, mushrooms, Caesar salad, and crab cake were all absolutely delicious—each dish was full of flavor, and we genuinely enjoyed every bite. The desserts were also very tasty. For drinks, I had a Mimosa and my husband tried a Virgin Mojito—both were refreshing and well-prepared. The only downside was the coffee I ordered with dessert. It arrived cold, and although I had requested it with milk, there was no room left in the cup to add any. That aside, everything else was fantastic. The atmosphere was lovely, the view was beautiful, and the service was excellent. The servers were friendly and welcoming—we really appreciated their kindness. Highly recommended!

So we go for dinner tonight and order both specials a 20 oz ribeye for 48.00 and the Wahoo & scallops. Our server was great but the food was taking pretty long to get. I ordered my steak medium well. Should have a pink center. Our food finally comes after we ask about it. I am hungry and cut into my steak and it is well done I tried to eat it but it was though. We call the server show her and she takes downstairs we were seated upstairs. I go down after her a minute or two to go to the restroom. She is showing my plate to a chef and another person in the dark lobby and they are picking it up and shining a flash light on it saying it was cooked perfect but if SHE WANTS IT COOKED MORE he would. Are you kidding me it was already overcooked. I was behind them and heard everything. I told them it is over cooked come upstairs in the light and look at it. I come out of the restroom and they are holding my plate still telling me it is perfect. I take it back up to the table and get the server and a guy comes up to look at it saying it is a bit over cooked they will get me a new one. Nope by this time my husband finished his dry Wahoo special that was overcooked as well. Payed his bill and left will never go back. Learn to cook with thermometers or do mot put steaks on your specials. You get a better steak at Long horn and a hell of a lot cheaper. We are in OC quite a bit and this was a big let down. I Absolutely hate it when someone trys to tell me I am wrong or I do not know what I am talking about. I had a restaurant and know how to use thermometers...

Long story short: If you’re over 21 from NJ and want alcohol, bring another form of ID because your license won’t cut it. I came here with friends on a Friday night, reservations were easy but once we were seated they didn’t have enough menus in the restaurant to give us some for a while, which I feel should be an easy fix. I then tried to order clams and a sangria, but after the waitress looked at my ID she felt it needed further checking. It took 10-15 minutes for my ID to come back and only for them to say it felt too lightweight and didn’t bend right, so I wasn’t allowed any alcohol. I received my license directly from the NJ DMV, which has been accepted and scanned fine ever since I got it. However, the updated NJ licenses sent out were changed and not laminated like the older ones so they thought it was a fake. I also just turned 23 so I understand I look young but the waitress said to my boyfriend that he looks fine and quickly checked his ID and gave it right back. I feel as an upscale bar and grill they should have a scanner or UV light to do a quick and legitimate check instead of by pure feel, especially since they said they’ve had frequent problems with underage drinking in the area. The waitresses were kind enough to apologize for it and understood that we wanted to leave after that, but the whole ordeal just stunned me. Not to mention while the menu seemed great it was very pricey for what you receive (for example only 6-8 clams and some bread for $18). I would’ve loved to eat/drink here but they need to...

We had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant we have visited yearly. We will not be back again. A reservation was made 3 days in advance with very specific instructions on where we wanted to be seated. We preferred 2 of their seating options over the third. We ended up being seated in the one location we asked to not be seated and to make matters worse they would not let our party of 10 (which we had made a reservation for!) sit together. We had to split up between two tables. We were told three different stories between the hostess and the manager about why our group couldn't be seated together. Ridiculous really. Not a good dining experience at all. When you go out with a group to celebrate, especially to a high dollar establishment, a restaurant should be accommodating. If they cannot accommodate your reservation, they should let you know at the time of booking. It's a very simple concept. The food, which is normally very good, was subpar tonight. The manager was not friendly or understanding about the situation at all. Used to be a nice place, but...
