This is a new pastry shop that lets you build your own cinnamon roll. Kind of a neat idea that I thought I would enjoy. Unfortunately, I did not really enjoy my food experience here which was based on a very berry cinnamon roll. On the positive side, these cinnamon rolls are a well made vegan alternative to traditional cinnamon rolls. They were fluffy and fresh. The roll also had a good texture to it, which can be difficult to achieve using vegan ingredients (at least based on the variety of vegan pastries I've tried). The service was quick and friendly. Keep in mind this business is electronic only and will not accept Cash payment (though will take cash tips). On the negative side, I found everything overly sweet. Particularly the icing which was almost sickly sweet. Because the cinnamon roll was scalding hot - the icing that got slathered on immediately melted and broke apart leaving a highly unattractive finish that could easily bested by your average home baker. Unfortunately, vegan dairy has a strange aftertaste, and so too does this icing - after the super sweet taste leaves your palate you are left with this pungent aftertaste that lingers. I would probably avoid the basic 'cream cheese' icing as a result, perhaps other flavors of icing can take over instead and leave you with a more palatable finish. I think for those who are strictly vegan, there's likely something good to find here. However, I think the excessive use of sugar overwhelms everything and ultimately leaves you with a rather poorly executed pastry. Even the berry topping seemed to rely heavily on added sugars. I don't normally waste food, but I threw out this cinnamon roll after just a few bites. I see no reason to try this place again as there are fundamentals about how the rolls are made which I see being consistent across any 'configuration'.

I heard about this place from a friend and decided to try it. There wasn't much of a line and the staff was friendly. I ordered a roll with creme brulee and cream cheese and then for pie crumbs and caramel sauce. However, right before paying she informed me it would be about a 20 minute wait.... Which was somewhat okay with me since I was also getting something nextdoor. I went nextdoor and came back inside and it was packed. So I waited up against the wall till a seat opened up. Once they called me for my oder I saw my roll and was confused as to why there were oats on it and I guess according to them pie crust has full oats in it. I don't care for oats so picking around them was tedious and I ended up eating a third of it and throwing it away. The roll itself seemed thick and not as soft or big as the rolls from Cinnabon. Overall I would recommend this place to other. There toppings are plentiful and my friends enjoyed the ones they ordered. Staff was also very friendly. I would go again however this was not a good first experience.

I was really looking forward to trying this place out. I went at 3pm on a Friday, and they were not busy at all. Only two people in front of me in line, but I still was in line for 10min. After I ordered, it ended up taking 30min to get my roll, and I only ordered one. Then I got back to my car, opened up the container, and the icing was all slid off to the side; it did not look like the gorgeous roll I was expecting!! I was very disappointed after waiting 40 minutes for this. The container had been carried flat so I feel like the frosting must have slid off before it was given to me. I understand the roll is hot and the frosting won’t be perfect, but I was still bummed. The roll itself was super yummy, but I would say it is not worth waiting 40 minutes. While I waited, I did notice several people came in to pick up online orders and waited 5min or less. So if you want to check this place out, I would recommend doing the online order over ordering at the store.

I've been a fan of Cinnaholic since the one in Baltimore opened several years back, so I was super excited for the opening of this Gambrills location. I tried to go on the day of the grand opening, but it was too cold and the line outside was too long. It's been a couple weeks and I thought they would've sort worked out the growing pains by now.

I was pleasantly surprised that there wasn't a line, and only a couple people waiting when we came in this evening. The lady in line in front of us was being extra, so it took a little while until we were able to order. I was very happy that the young lady at the register was able to quickly help me choose between two I was contemplating. They were telling people it was about a 10-15 minute wait, but we ended up waiting 20-30 minutes for our two rolls. A dozen more customers came in to order while we were waiting for ours to be done. All the seats were taken and there was lots of confusion who was in line, who was just waiting, and where to pickup online orders. There seemed to be no rhyme or reason to the way they were completing orders. The lady who ordered ahead of me got hers, and so hypothetically, ours should've been next, but no, ours was two or three later. Although there were 5-6 [YOUNG] employees, they were moving like sloths, with zero hustle. One of the other customer's we befriended during the wait, his wife went across the town center to Crumbl Cookie, came back with a box of fresh cookies, and we were STILL waiting when she got back. Anyway, I digress, you get the point.

FINALLY we got our rolls and took them home. I was worried they wouldn't be worthy of the long wait, but they were DELICIOUS. I had the Smores, and my husband had the Cookie Monster. Despite that they were both the same price, his had WAY more toppings than mine did, but mine was still very good. I don't have any dietary restrictions, but I appreciate that they're vegan and still so darn tasty.

Bottom line, while the cinnamon rolls are really, REALLY good, they seriously need to figure how to be more efficient and organized. Once they get that figured...

I highly recommend avoiding this business until they fix some major issues with their process, staff, and SANITATION! This is my first time coming here and the experience would have been okay even despite the long wait had my friends order not gotten "lost" or given to someone else due to the negligence of the two girls at the toppings counter. Upon asking where the order was the two girls at the counter stared and just ignored the question. After getting someone else's attention , The cashier confirmed that the order was placed but yet the (assuming) manager still needed to verify the receipt, which took a few minutes due to how busy they were. Okay that's cool. While waiting for the order to be re-made the two girls at the toppings counter (one with red hair and one with blonde hair in a ponytail) kept giving nasty looks /sideeyes to my friend and I . Due to them being children I let it slide. However, that needs to be addressed as that is TERRIBLE customer service and for what reason? Was Asking for an order that was placed that big of an inconvenience to them? Lastly, let's talk about how UNSANITARY some of the workers are. The girl with the blonde pony tail was leaning on the counter with her hair dangling over/into the toppings. Oh, and let's not forget how she grabbed her hair to tighten it with the gloves on and proceeded to go about her business. I waited a minute before asking her if she was going to change her gloves since she touched her hair , and she was very annoyed that I asked that and gave me a dirty look. Red head girl proceeded to give me nasty looks as the other girl reluctantly changed her gloves. I am in the food service industry and am a serv safe certified manager, I know that is unacceptable! Rather than leave this bad review I tried calling the phone number provided 4 times to have a conversation with the manager but the phone just continuodusly rang. I personally will not return here and would not recommend anyone...

On a whim I decided to download an app called Too Good To Go. If you're not familiar, local restaurants use this app to sell goods they have left at the end of the day at a discount price. You generally aren't told what you're going to get- it's a surprise.

As soon as I opened the app I saw that Cinnaholic was offering a bag for $5.99. My kiddo and I decided to give it a try. We popped over to the store, and when you open the door and walk in, it smells like heaven. A woman was walking out as we were walking in, and she looked practically delirious (in a good way!) as she told us how amazing the treats were from here.

We approached the counter where a lovely, and friendly woman (and I have to say- she was legit one of the most beautiful women I have ever seen in my life, I was like mesmerized by her!) asked how she could help us. I explained we were picking up a Too Good To Go order and she immediately had it ready for us. She was kind enough to explain to me how to mark my order as "picked up" in the app since I was new to using it, and she explained the types of goods she typically puts in the TGTG bags. She was so warm and seemed in no rush at all to end our interaction- which I found so endearing!

As we returned to our car, my kiddo began to inspect the goods. We had 3 cinnamon rolls with different toppings. They were still warm too!!! We tried a few bites from each one when we got home- and they were insanely good! They held up great in the fridge overnight, and I microwaved one for 35 second the next morning to enjoy with my coffee and it was perfectly warmed up.

On a whim I Googled the company, and I was STUNNED to read that these cinnamon buns are VEGAN. I honestly never would have known if I hadn't looked it up! I'd choose these over Cinnabon any day- I'M SERIOUS! Get yourself here to support this amazing business and enjoy some...
