Dominick's Pizza — Restaurant in Maryland

We usually order pizza from Dominick's. The last time we ordered subs there was so much salt, even my other half who likes salt, thought it was way too much. But we didn't feel like cooking so we thought we'd give them another chance. Well, we have decided that Dominick's will not get our money any longer! These FAMOUS OVERSTUFFED SUBS they gave us should have been called Famous UNDERSTUFFED subs! I will attach pics. The meat didn't even cover the roll. I took a couple of bites and it did not taste good. Started to make my stomach hurt. I stopped eating it! I ordered a cheesesteak with extra mayo, extra cheese (which I paid $1.50 extra for), fried onion, raw onion, and tomato. It had no mayo at all, no fried onion, and both subs lacked meat. We also ordered garlic parmesan wings. (Which I didn't remember to take a pic of before they took them back) but they sent buffalo. So we called them to let them know we were sent the wrong flavor. They told us they were the right ones. And said our garlic parm wings are spicy. (Ya think?) It was spicier than buffalo. Same color as buffalo. (Looks like buffalo, tastes like buffalo- must be buffalo) why call them garlic parm- if there's no garlic parm?? Anyway, they asked if we wanted a credit or different wings. We chose different wings and went for the teriyaki. They brought them... ugh. Add wings to the list of what not to order. Not good. Although, when they brought the new wings they brought 1 brownie to make it all better. Lol funny not funny So, to put this into perspective, we got 2 subs with fries and a can of soda, and 10 wings =$60.60- pay attention to the fees! I stopped writing reviews because it just seems like in the world today, people just do not care about the value of your money. But this... is just disappointing! I gave 2 stars for bringing the new wings and adding the brownie. The order said it would take 60-75 mins, they were here in like 20min. The driver said they weren't busy... go figure! But if they're not busy, why can't they get our order correct or at least make sure it tastes good?? Gotta do...

10/2022 update - warning... They now charge a 1.25 "convenience" fee to place an order via their website or via the phone for a pick up order! Are you kidding! Placing an order for your food is a convenience that you charge for? How exactly do you serve people if they don't place an order?

The pizza itself, one word - gross. It has a very weird, indescribable smell. And the flavor, tastes as weird as it smells. Don't even know how to describe, it a strange sweet smell/taste. The cheese blend is a bizarre combo, including what looks like cheddar? Whatever it is, is doesn't melt well. Toppings were just thrown on, on top of the cheese but weren't really cooked. How they manage that, don't know.

Gave them a shot after years. With the extra fees and unpleasant food, crossing them off the list again Hadn't ordered from Dominick's in awhile because of quality and service issues, but things can change, so decided to give them another try.

Service was ok. Person behind the counter was fully clothed this visit (not so in the past -- belly shirts in food service are not appropriate.) But, there is still an issue of the counter person working the register, taking money, answering phones, etc and then going back to work the food lines without washing their hands!

Did have to wait for my food. There were others waiting too. The waiting area is small and cramped, especially when they are bring up cases of soda to refill the refrigerator case. There are a few tall bar stools and a counter where you can sit. It is not handicapped or wheel chair friendly.

As for the food, ordered a chicken cheese steak and mozzarella sticks. Mozzarella sticks were ok. The sub, was a tad greasy, but the biggest problem - it had no flavor. How a sub with chicken, cheese, lettuce, tomato and mayo had no flavor is a mystery, but it didn't, none at all.

Well, after giving them another shot, I wasn't impressed. It will be awhile...

STAY AWAY FROM THIS DOMINICKS LOCATION. This location is extremely terrible. If you’re looking for later evening pizza, don’t even try to call this location. On their website they show that they close at 10. Numerous times, me and my boyfriend will call at 9:30 and the phone constantly rings. When someone finally answers, they tell us they are “closed”. This place IGNORES customers calls so that they don’t need to make another order past 9:30. Last night, this same exact thing happened. I don’t like writing bad reviews unless I absolutely feel like the issue needs to be addressed, and I absolutely feel this way about this god awful place. The customer service here is just non existent. We called Dominick’s at 9:40 last night and we had to call them at least 10 times before someone answered. Finally, at 9:55, someone answers and tells my boyfriend they are closed. My boyfriend said “no you’re not, you close at 10.” And the man (Charles) says, we stop taking delivery orders at 9:45. We DIDNT WANT DELIVERY. We live literally 2 minutes from this location. So basically our CALL WAS IGNORED because the LAZY workers “assumed” we wanted delivery. MIGHT I ADD, that when this has happened in the past, we call the Dominick’s located on Harford road (AMAZING location with AMAZING service) and they take pick up orders up until they close like any other NORMAL food chain does, and they don’t ignore their phone calls past 9:30 :) :) :) stay away from this location in Perry Hall, save yourself some time, and go to the Parkville location even if it’s a further drive. Trust me, it’s well worth it. This place doesn’t deserve to even be in business. I will literally never order from...
