El Carbonero Restaurant — Restaurant in Maryland

We have visited this restaurant three times, the first time was nice the second time not bad but the third time was not what we expected as far as service goes from a restaurant. To start of the waitress was not paying attention my wife order a margarita, what she got was not a margarita so we diced to order another one. This time it was another waitress, we were not ready to order yet so we asked for few more minutes. From there the waitress forgot about us,we had to keep calling the waitress when we needed something and each time it was a different one and we only asked for the simplest thing that a waitress would offer like water to start with. When were received our food I think that was the end of the waitress, we never saw her and she never came back to check on us. We were seated in an area where there was no one else. I understand if it was full and busy and plenty of guests seated in our area, we were the only ones there. So no waitress, When we were 3/4 of the way donewith our meal then sl"a" waitress decides to come by and ask if we were ok and didn't offer to refill our drinks and that was it no more waitress. There were other guests there but they were mostly drinking beers and seated elsewhere. The restaurant had roughly 10-12 waitress there and all were attending the guests that were drinking and they were being taken care of. Honestly I could of walked out of the restaurant without paying and no one would of noticed. We had to flag a waitress down to get the bill, when a waitress arrived with the bill it was a different one and she was in such a hurry that she said just leave the bill there and left. The tip was already added which I did not agree with because we didn't get the proper service or atleadt the minimum service. One more thing, I took my son to the bathroom and there was vomit all over the floor to the bathroom entrance, there was no caution sign set out to let the customers know to be careful. Now I gladly give tips because I know that's how waitress earn there pay based of tips. but in this case I would of left without paying because the service was unacceptable. I had a blast my first time and had hookah. I met friendly waitresses. Came back the second week for hookah specifically. We were the ONLY black couple this week. I spent $100. on drinks. My boyfriend and I waited and got $40 hookah with the person who is the DJ. We were really pleased with the price. The DJ set us up right. We smoked for an hour but were not told about the $20 dollar refill charge when a second man came in and asked everyone else around us for if they were okay. We told them that they wanted a change when he rudely responded “I got yal”. He mixes up the hookah flavors between me and our neighbors. I can tell it’s the wrong one (we had lady killer our neighbors blueberry) and has to go back to the back in the kitchen. The man tells us it’s $20 dollar to refill but doesn’t tell anyone else. He even tells another party it is $30.00. Mind you I understand Spanish. I do not condone the anti black practices of this establishment and I’m very disappointed. I...

The security guard at this place is very senseless to his surroundings and picks on the most basic people and has no compassion for what goes on. If one is eating on the table he will stare at you till eye contact is made. This security guard makes the atmosphere feel uncomfortable. I brought my mom here for dinner cause she loves this place but the security gaurd indeed ruined it. I would love for him to be gone as this is were me and my family have special dinners at. AWARE TO THOSE THAT DRINK HE WILL PICK ON YOU IF ACT A BIT DRUNK. he uses very offensive word to little kids that visit this location and made my brother feel intimidated of police even tho he’s a wanna be police officer.
