UPDATE: The service and food here started off amazing but the owner is clearly trying to grow too fast. Every person he hired canโt cook like him, canโt speak enough English to properly service customers, and now it pointless to call and order ahead. I used to drive 40 mins to come here for lunch everyday. Recently I called in placed my order and when I got there the guy look at me confused and asked me if I had ordered and then went on to say the owner doesnโt want to pay for more employees so heโs doing what he can. The time after that a new guy was working there and I was trying to figure out if they were open in the Chester location. The guy was working in the Chester location and didnโt even know he was in Chester MD. I still ordered anyway trying to have faith because I really wanted tacos, the steak wasnโt even seasoned. Iโm happy to pay almost $40 for tacos that taste amazing, but I refuse to pay that same amount for tacos that werenโt even seasoned. It was just cooked steak with NO seasoning (Not even salt) and cilantro and onion. Tacos are my favorite food in the universe and I have eaten them all over the country. Tacos from El Nene are my absolute favorite tacos on Kent island. My husband and I have ordered them on over 30 occasions and the chicken and carnitas are always seasoned to perfection. I can't get enough of the chicken as it is probably the most delicious seasoned chicken I've ever had on a Taco anywhere. The flavor of the food was pretty good but this place was unusually hostile towards vegetarians. I ordered a cheese quesadilla and the guy who took my order laughed at me repeatedly (is a cheese quesadilla really that weird of an order?) and when my food came out it was pretty cold. Tbh Iโve been a vegetarian for 13 years and ordered at places all over the world, and I canโt say I remember that happening before.
