Overall a very poor experience. Brooke, our server ignored us for pretty much the entire time. Empty drinks, zero refills the entire time, finished eating our (okish) food and had to wait 20 minutes for her to finish doing dishes in the back to get a check. All in took over an hour to get in and out. The place was empty so it's not like it was crowded. Got the check and I see they automatically added a $18 gratuity to it. No way to set my own. After the final check comes, there is an option to tip on top of that. Like I'm not supposed to notice I already was forced to tip. Sneaky and definitely earned a scathing review. My fiancee and I are very displeased with the experience. It was just awful. Thank God I used an American Express. The service I received was not worth a $18 tip. And to expect me to pay you more on top of it?!? You sneak it in like you want me to pay you $36 or so an hour to ignore my partner and I? Ridiculous. Absolutely ridiculous. What a huge mistake the food was AWFUL the omelet CHEF Daniel (not sure if he can even TALK) he was so slow the line for an omelet was wrapped around the bar. Manager is Joe, he got upset with me cause I called him on it. He claimed to have reverse the payment then charged me correctly. Read moreThe restaurant staff at Fountainside are fantastic! I recently stayed at the hotel for a month for work, and dined at the restaurant on several occasions. Breakfast was lovely, as Bobby, Brooke, Angel,or Brenda greeted me with a smile and the utmost professionalism, and courtesy. Their daily happy hour and dinners offered decent prices, good portions, and great food. Dewan and Trudie are experienced cooks, who take cooking seriously, and present their creations with made to order creative flair. The bartenders and waitstaff made me feel welcome like family. Chrystal, Kay, Megan, Akila, and Tessa went out of their way to provide impeccable service. Lamont is also a nice addition, and always made sure everything was to my liking.
