Moby Dick House of Kabob — Restaurant in Maryland

This 2 stars for Service and Management only! Been eating at Moby Dick locations for over 20 years. Walked-in to this location with my sons on Sunday at 8:41pm and was asked by cashier "for here or to go?" I said ordered for here. So at 9:05pm we still don't have out food, but that is fine with me. Kebab could take time. But then manager asking us: " are you guys taking it out or eating here?" I said that we ordered for here. Manager: "But we closed 5min ago!!! I said that I did not come in 5min ago. We are waiting for our food over 20min now. He definitely knew that being one of only 2 employees there. Manager: "Well, if you eat it here then in 10min I will ask you to leave". What??? NOTE: We have not gotten our food yet! At this point I would have walked, but this late on Sunday evening everything is closing and my sons would have been hungry. So I asked to pack my food to go. That is my last visit here. For a manager to threaten a customer you have 10min to eat your dinner or what??? After taking over 20min to make the meal leaves me feeling sorry for the place. I wish him eating, or should I say stuffing, his dinners in 10min all his life. Not mine. I just take my business elsewhere.

Side note: I am a frequent visitor of many Moby Dicks in Washington DC and Virginia area. I knew founder personally from beginning of 90's. Great company, great people and great food always! Its a shame! I took this one...

I’ve been going to Moby’s since they opened the original lot location in Kingstowne, Alexandria, VA—over 15 years ago—back when the owner was still working there.

I travel for work and happened to be in the area, so I decided to stop by. The guy up front made a mistake on my order. I asked for Kubideh and Lamb, but I got two Kubideh instead. I politely explained the mistake, and they offered to remake my order.

Keep in mind, I was dining in but had to leave shortly. After about 20 minutes, I found my corrected order packed in a to-go bag. so clearly they assumed I wasn’t staying. I had to wait another 15 minutes for them to fix it properly.

Then the manager comes to my table and says, “I need to charge you the difference.” He voided my original order, and I went up to pay the difference. I had already tipped them, which basically covered the difference anyway.

The point isn’t the $3 difference. it’s the fact that they made me wait over 30 minutes after messing up my order, then still asked me to pay more.

Moby Dick house of kebob in Pikesville, MD. MobyDick is the reason why I come to this area and if I come to this area I must visit Moby Dick. The food is extremely fresh and today the Baghalipolo With Chicken was as good as or even better than what my grandma used to make when I was a little boy. To make this review short and sweet thisis the good and bad of Moby Dick location in Pikesville, MD THE GOODS: excellent food quality, very modestly priced (unbelievably inexpensive), using nature friendly recyclables high quality dishwares, friendly unpushy ambiance, good menu combination, 100% return of you bucks for amount of food and quality compare to ANY OTHER PLACE!!!! THE BAD: music choice is awful it sounds like elevator music and very annoying, the A/C. The place was hot and sticky and very uncomfortable. The staff are all of different backgrounds. They are some what annoying and don't speak clear. No separated trash despites. You dump everything in one bag and I kinda dont like that.
