I have to give a star but I really wish I didn’t have to. I came here visiting friends, so it was a group of 8 of us, most of us African-American. The restaurant was practically empty-maybe 5 tables taken and they placed us in the separate room away from everyone else. They didn’t even put the tables together for the 8 of us, so we sat in two sets of four.
First we thought it was it was in our head, but then they placed another African American woman in the separate room and they were by themselves, while placing other Caucasian patrons in the main room. So it became pretty obvious that they were separating us on purpose. We weren’t loud or anything, just having our conversation about going crabbing later after breakfast. It didn’t make us feel safe that our food was going to made fairly. We feel ok for now but the treatment here was very disappointing.
We will not come here again and I hope management will see this as a problem. They shouldn’t be segregating paying patrons. This is poor on IHOP’s behalf to have an establishment that is okay with...

The other staff and management clearly did not help him until things became problematic. We put the children's food in first hoping it would come out first (which it did not) then the rest of the party ordered about 10 minutes later. It wasn't until someone told the manager that we were taking pictures of the completely empty establishment and us talking loudly about the fact that we had been there for an hour already and we didn't even have the children's food yet that she made an appearance. However, all she did was help bring out food! She offered no apologies for the wait or acknowledge any problems! Our server did a great job with the tools he had which obviously are not enough if that's the type of manager in charge of that store. He is the only reason I would ever come back to...
