Jimmy John's — Restaurant in Maryland

David, the gentlemen that was taking our order through the drive-thru. Explained to us that we cannot order the “Slims” with any additions to the sandwich, for example adding bacon. That is fine, things must have changed and we mentioned that “we’ve been ordering them that way for many years now and in multiple states” his instant response was “I doubt you have been ordering them that way. If people have been allowing you to do that they should be fired”. Why is he doubting the customer? Why is he even making this remark? It appears that he is threatening other people’s jobs?

We pull up the app to look at previous orders at this same Jimmy John’s, orders dating back to November with that exact order, “Slim 1 add bacon”. We arrive at the window to ask about it when that policy changed and that it appears Jimmy John’s is trying to get more money out of us because on the app the difference in price is $2-3. We were almost instantly met with hostility from David, stating “I take complete offense to that” and then met with more back and forth bickering between David and myself. After giving us half of order (only sandwich’s) because he was so agitated with the situation he asked if we needed anything else, our drinks and chips. He said that someone was getting them and proceeded to shut the window. As the window shuts we could verbally hear him yell “RUUUUUUDEEEEEE” through the window and throughout the store. Why is saying this out loud or saying it at all? Especially in front of other customers. I understand people get frustrated and if that is the case why would he not wait to get out of earshot of the customer before acting out like this?

He was very unprofessional, and appeared to very agitated with the entire situation. He must also have the last word with every conversation because as we finally got all of our products we purchased and we were trying to leave the situation he wanted to keep bickering. And making very passive aggressive statements. Due to this interaction we are unsure if we will ever dine at this...

I ordered door dash from here!! I got a spicy Italian sub on wheat! So it came as a sandwich not a sub so when I got my order I thought the Sandwich was wrong because it had bacon and just didn’t look like I thought it would so my boyfriend called just to see what happen and I was going to spend money and order a new one. So when he called, the guy that answered said he made the order and started reading it back to us, he said my order first and said it was a wheat club so we immediately knew the wheat made it a club instead of a sub, so my boyfriend said never mind bro you don’t gotta keep going, keeps reading order my boyfriend again starts saying “hey excuse me, hello, excuse can you stop talking for one second” as the guy is completely ignoring him and he says “uhm are you being rude with me because I can just hang up and tell you have a nice day” 💀 my boyfriend said “no I’m not being rude all I was trying tell you was you don’t have to keep telling me the order because you just said what was wrong the very first thing you said” then my boyfriend said he was going to go up there, but we were in the middle of work…so then the guy said “ok sir have a good day bloop” if it wasn’t for the law we would’ve been up there in 2 mins. We were ordering from this location at least weekly for some time and usually picked up our order at the pickup window. We always bypassed the speaker. Today we did the same. This time they ignored us for a while and then a guy (wasn’t wearing a name tag) came to the window and opened it and said “hi, if you’d come to the speaker I would’ve known you were here as I’ve told you multiple times before” so my husband said “that’s the first I’ve heard this” and the guy proceeded to argue “well no it isn’t” and my husband insisted “I promise I haven’t been told this before” and the guy said “but I did…but anyway that’s fine what can I get you” pretty rudely. So we said our name and as the guy at the window walked away he continued to talk to people inside about how he knows he told us before. I know if he had, we would have easily done so. But either way, there’s really no need to argue with us rudely. Rude service. They always try to shove all the food in one bag until it’s overflowing. I only come here because it’s cheap and fast when I need it, but with this rudeness, it’s not worth it.
