The lady at the front desk is so rude, she literally refused to give me my DoorDash order just cuz I woke up late and forgot to rush downstairs to extend my room. The reservation is under my husband name she gonna say the room is not under your name you need to take your stuffs and leave. Mind you it’s my first time being at this hotel. I tell her ma’am my husband and I booked another room but we want a king size bed since yesterday when we were checking in she the same lady refused to give us a king size bed so eventually we didn’t have a choice but to take both beds since we flew in from Colorado and we were so tired. This morning she came to my room and accused me and my husband of smoking mind you my husband smokes only cigarettes and all last night he went down stairs about 2 times to smoke then woke up this morning went for a run. I told her to check her camera and she will see us outside smoking. She then proceed to tell me that I can’t check in to our king size bed so I asked her why she said cuz I said so now leave I’m being too nice to you and I don’t wanna be rude or have to tell. I’m like what? She says you have the shower running and we can kick anyone out for doing that. I told her I just turned it on for my husband he went out to run and his on the way back he loves a steam hot shower. She tells me to my face I don’t care then She walks out on me then slams my door. Yesterday she walks up on me when my husband and I went out to smoke she tells me to my face how she’s the manager and if I don’t go upstairs and change the outfit my husband picked for me to wear on our vacation she will have to cancel my room. This is really not okay. I’ve to pack up my stuffs then find another room when we had plans to do today for our first day in town on vacation. Y’all can’t let your workers treat people like this. This is so unfair. the police is at my door saying the lady said that the owner doesn’t want us here so I asked the officer why she doesn’t want us here. I asked what did we do wrong? My husband is white so he asked the officers if the reason why I’m being treated like this is because Im black ? My husband also asked if I was a white woman on vacation with her husband would they had ever said anything to her about putting on shorts? The officer said he really don’t know what to say that they just doing their job and the hotel doesn’t want me in their premises and we asked why ? What reason did they tell you. He said the lady downstairs told her that the owner told her since yesterday to kick me out they when she saw me this morning trying to check in to my new reservation, the owner asked the lady downstairs to call the police and tell them I’m being kicked out. We asked to talk to management just to see what really went wrong? The girl downstairs told me she’s the manager and I need to get my stuffs and get tf out. I said excuse me you said what ma’am she said you need to leave now. I told the officers that and they told my husband let’s just get our stuffs and they helped us find a nice and very comfortable hotel which me and my husband went too. They thought I was alone just a black girl in a hotel room. That’s crazy. You can’t judge people you don’t know. I’m a phd degree holder in my 30s married to a very lovely man who is also a phd degree holder. We came to Maryland for vacation to have fun away from the kids since it’s been a while we both went on vacation. And I was misjudged cuz I had on something short that my husband asked me to wear for him. This is not fair and so embarrassing. I left my state to come have a good day but instead I was humiliated by a mad hateful woman of my age. You guys need to do better training your staffs. Very very...
