I waited a day to make sure I was not as upset after my visit. I visit this place every first Monday of the month and I went on 2/5/24 like normal. I love the $1 donut Mondays and have been coming to this location since they were located in the Annapolis Town center. I get the same order every time as I really enjoy the donuts. Unfortunately, this past Monday was the worse visit I have ever experienced and they treated me so rude. I would chalk it up to a one off, but in January-I had paid for two donuts and they had gave me one. This time in February, I walk in and see they have upgraded their register and systems. I look to order two donuts which should be $2.00 plus tax. The employee charged me $3.79 for two donuts. First, I politely asked if they were still doing the Dollar Mondays in the first of the month, which he replied yes. So then I asked how did two donuts come to $3.79 if they are a dollar each. The employee then responds, "because that's the price". WOW really? So I ask him how does two donuts at one dollar cost that much. Then he says that's tax. Im not stupid and I do not appreciate the employee treating like I am stupid. I ask him how is the tax more than the cost of the donut. That does not make sense. I see that they have new systems, so I understand there is a mistake, but instead of admitting that-the employee yells at me to be quiet. WHAT? Now I'm getting angry because I had so much respect for this local business. First you talking to me like I am stupid and now you are yelling at me to be quiet. All I was trying to do is inform that you're overcharging me. If this employee was frustrated at the new system, there is NO need to take that out on me verbally and force me to over pay. That is ridiculous. I tried to tell him I'm not mad at the wrong price, let's resolve it so I can pay the right price and then the employee yells at me again. By now I'm heated and I have to get serious in my tone to tell him to not treat another person like that and to not take out his frustrations on me. It gets worse, I wanted to contact a manager to be express that the employees are having issues with the new system, but when I asked for contact information, the employee told me NO. I said really and he told me to grab a business card in a different section away from him that only has the store number on it. That's crazy. Finally, He lowers the price, which was still not the correct price to pay, therefore I am being overcharged, but I pay it anyway because I don't want to support this location anymore. There were two employees there and instead of the other one helping out or trying to deescalate the situation-he just stood there like it is my fault. I didn't change yall systems at all. I might not be a big spender every day here, but I at least try to support this location by telling all the retail businesses I work with in the Annapolis area to purchase from here for their functions. I will no longer be doing that. This place use to special to me, now I'm done with it. Very Upsetting! Added receipt for...
Read moreMy coworkers and I received a dozen of these as a gift to our office. Here are our favorites (in no particular order):
Seafoam (Glazed with Coconut): "Incredible, 5/5. The coconut shavings were huge and sweet, but the glaze was thick enough that they didn't flake off the donut. Would definitely recommend to any coconut fan."
Porky Pony (Maple Bacon): "Can I give 6/5? If I have a coronary later this week, it will have been worth it."
Misty Mint: (Mint Glaze + Mini Choc Chip): "Tremendous, 5/5. I like the idea of the chips instead of mixing the glaze differently; it gave the otherwise soft donut a little interesting texture."
Salted Caramel (Caramel Pretzel): "4/5 for me. I went in hoping that the pretzels would have been crunchy, but I think (probably due to the cooking process?) that they were supposed to be but got a bit soggy instead. I also understand that they were made fresh, so they might have been crunchier while fresh but got a bit soggy on the drive."
Pony Party (Strawberry Sprinkles): "3/5. I am normally a huge sprinkle fan but the sprinkles were a little chalky, and I didn't really taste strawberry. The glaze was still good, though."
Cookies & Cream (Glazed with Oreo Crumble): "5/5. Very tasty."
We are still eating through the last of them and are very satisfied customers - almost everyone who had a donut came to ask me who made them. Thank...
Read moreI. LOVE. SANDY. PONY. They have the best donuts I have ever eaten. I go there frequently. I go multiple times a day. The people who work there recognize me and my friend. If they had a frequent buyer card, I'd use it religiously. I once spent my entire paycheck on sandy pony, and I have no regrets (the electricity shut off but oh well.. Priorities) The only way they could possibly improve is to be open 24/7, and I surely would be there 24/7. I have such a love for sandy pony I always leave a tip in the tip jar every time I I to show my gratitude to the people who work there and thank whoever opened the shop up, because you have brightened my life up with these donuts they have honestly made me so happy. If I won the lottery I would use the money to not only buy tons of donuts but to open up my own stores solely so I would have access to these donuts in demand because I couldn't imagine anything better ❤️❤️
I LOVE ALL OF YOU AT...
