I have been eyeing this spot for the past month or so because I pass it on my way to Church on Sundays, and today (well yesterday now) I decided to check it out. Considering the menu, I already had in mind that I will be coming here at least twice. For my first time, I decided to do a 5pc wing combo Yangnyeom flavor, with waffle fries, and the Dragon Fruit Rose signature with boba.
When it comes to my food preference with chicken, I always prefer a chicken sandwich, tenders, or nuggets over bone-in, but I was feeling wings, but that's where I went wrong. The wings are jumbo sized (which I don't prefer) and they are very juicy. I mean they were cooked to perfection, and they were cooked all the way through on the inside as well. Sometimes when having jumbo wings, the meat isn't always cooked to perfection on the inside, but these were so I really appreciated that! They just simply didn't stand out to me as "amazing wings", but they were still pretty good.
The waffle fries were good but seemed like frozen waffle fries that were cooked. The Dragon Fruit Rose was the star of the show for me, it was SO GOOD! However, I think when I try the chicken butt sandwich and tenders, I will like those more and will most likely make this review 5 stars.
The service was pretty decent, and there are a couple of tables in there to sit if you like, and the ambiance is very chill. Overall, I do recommend this place and I will be back to try the chicken butt sandwich, tenders, and the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreKokkee kitchen was an excellent experience, the cashier was very tentative and kind. The staff in the kitchen were working very hard while the restaurant was lively on Saturday around 7 pm. We got the Spicy Yangnyeom wings, Honey Soy Garlic wings, and the Chicken Butt Sandwich combo. We got our food in about 15 minutes after we ordered! We got both meals for roughly 30 bucks but 100% worth it. Super filling!
FYI: No Bathroom
Spicy Yangnyeom Wings: These wings were absolutely a hit. The wings were coated well with the Yangnyeom sauce. It had a sweet honey like taste, slight kick of heat, an assortment of seasoning. The chicken skin was crunchy and the inside was packed with flavor and juice. This was my favorite of the three.
Honey Soy Garlic Wings: The wings were great, it was a dry rub that didnāt have too much of one flavor and was a great mix of the honey, soy, and garlic. The skin was cooked perfectly by not being too oily, had a good crunch, and was super moist on the inside.
Chicken Butt Sandwich: My girlfriend said this āIs the best fried chicken sandwich l ever hadā the chicken was both crispy and juice. The bun was toasted and fluffy. The house slaw and pickle added freshness and balance to the hearty chicken. The waffle fries were incredible, they were crispy, well seasoned, and had good thickness. Sheāll be coming back for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis place surprised us! My buddy and I stopped by for lunch and we both ordered the chicken butt sandwich (hot) combo. We also split an order of honey soy garlic wings so we could experience them. The chicken sandwich was excellent, very juicy and seasoned well. I personally would not go any higher than the hot spice level, as I think that was the perfect combination if you actually want to taste your food without your mouth being on fire. To each their own though. It kinda reminds me of a Daves Hot Chicken sandwich but Korean. The French fries were chic-fil-a style waffle fries but breaded and seasoned and were very tasty. Last but not least, the wings were banging š„š„ The honey soy garlic was present in every bite. I didnāt feel like I needed to dip the wings in anything. Very juicy and fall off the bone tender! Glad I donāt live close to this place or Iād be in trouble š
They also have a million different bubble teas and other types of teas that I didnāt try but that wasnāt the goal of this first visit. The shopping center has plenty of parking. The restaurant itself has limited seating due to its size so keep...
