For the past six years, I’ve been a loyal patron of Upper Crust Pizzeria, and it’s for some very good reasons. This restaurnt isn’t just a place to grab a quick bite; it’s a community cornerstone, embodying the essence of dedication and small business ownership.
What sets Upper Crust apart isn’t just their consistently outstanding pizza; it’s the soul of the place. The owner, Mohammed is a pillar of the community, you’ll find him there almost every day, working alongside his son. Their involvement and commitment shine through every slice of pizza served. It’s evident in the zest of their garlic rolls, the crispness of their chicken wings, and the perfect golden fries.
But Upper Crust is more than just great food; it’s about the people. This family-run gem truly cares for its customers, making every visit personal and every meal memorable. They have weathered the storms of COVID and all that mess, proving that passion and quality stand the test of time.
I urge you, my fellow Howard County residents, to support this local treasure. Upper Crust Pizza is not just a pizzeria; it’s the lifeblood of our community.
Give them a try and you’ll see why they’ve earned not just my loyalty, but my highest five star ⭐️ review and recommendation.

Read moreI recently visited Upper Crust Pizza in Columbia, MD and unfortunately had a negative experience that I feel compelled to share. Despite being a local halal spot, the customer service left much to be desired. It was nothing short of a nightmare, and I urge anyone considering dining there to think twice.
Order Issue: I placed an order with specific instructions for (multiple) steak and cheese subs withOUT onions. However, upon receiving my order and taking a bite, I discovered onions in the sub.
Hostile Response: When I brought this to the attention of the staff, instead of acknowledging the mistake, they immediately became aggressive and accused me of trying to manipulate the situation for free food!! Their aggressive behavior was unwarranted and completely unacceptable. I asked for the sub back that I had handed back at this point. The only person that got scammed was me!
Owner's Unprofessionalism: What shocked me even more was the response from the owner when I checked online reviews after this experience. Instead of addressing genuine concerns from customers, the owner resorted to name-calling and insults, further highlighting the toxic atmosphere that permeates from this establishment.
Consistent Pattern: It's clear from my experience and the reviews online that this is not an isolated incident but rather a pattern of poor customer service and disrespect...
Read moreTerrible service. I’m convinced they pay for positive (bot) reviews.
In response to the owner’s claim that I (see review under Salman R.) consumed the sub in question, I must clarify that I actually swapped it with one of the subs my friend ordered. Their order, placed SEPARATELY, did not include onions. It’s evident that there was a mix-up by between my request and their order, highlighting the establishment’s incapability of taking an order correctly.
The fact that the owner immediately resorted to blaming me without considering the possibility of an error further underscores the concerning trend of dismissing customer feedback. It’s disheartening to witness such lack of accountability. I would never trust a remake of a sub either after witnessing their terrible response when it was calmly raised to their attention. I would not put it past them to spit, or the like, in the food.
In conclusion, my experience at Upper Crust Pizza serves as a stark reminder of the importance of businesses taking responsibility for their mistakes and striving to improve their service based on constructive feedback.
