Today: clean, accurate, expected. That said, this location exposes the gulf between a well run comfortable engaged store prior to being remodeled, and the dystopian antiseptic automaton that is the result of the corporate remodel decree. This location has the key advantage of being open 24 hrs and so serves as a kind of public "break room" in N. Rockville. Just check out the city workers drifting in and out in the small hours of the mornings. And it would have to be You, the public, to notice them, or really anyone. The worker bees are sequestered beyond the charcoal tiled curtain wall segregating those who are paid from those doing the paying. Goes with the mid-sized TV anti-persons alighted to 'take' your order, badly. With some practice it gets easier to order, and it shows how awful it must be to work there at the counter fighting through preposterously obtuse pages of marketing logic to accomplish what used to take 8 words and a few raised fingers. The employee with the butterfly tattoo was very rude, condescending and accusatory. When my order was placed via the App, I asked for a receipt she refused to give it saying they don't give receipt. When I was picking up my order and asked for a tray, she asked to verify my code in an accusatory and harsh tone. When ask showed her the code and again asked for the tray she yelled & chastised me because the receipt said it was a pick up. I was not complaining I was only asking a tray in a normal voice because my child and I were eating in the restaurant so she could play in the play area. I proceeded to let her know that she was being very rude to me for no reason. Later when asked for another employee with a colored shirt for the supervisor, she dimissively toldd me the supervisor had lwft for the day. Infact when I initially tried to get her attention, she told me that she could not help me because she is not working right now. I just visited this McDonald's store a few minutes a go (1:55AM). I was not able to purchase any meals because they were only taking cash payments and I only have with me my credit card. The rep explain me that the credit card system was down for maintenance. I was so annoyed. I usually visit this store anytime between 12:AM and 2:AM and have never had this issue. I decided to visit a second McDonalds store that was showing on Google to be open till 4:AM. When I arrived to Flower Hill Way location (2:15AM) it was close. Now I am very angry. On my way back to my home I decide to call the Frederik Ave store (my first visit) to complain to any manager. A woman answer my call, she was explaining to me that everyday they run a 20 minutes credit card closing at 1:AM. I explain her my frustration and she reply to me that the credit cards system was up and running again (2:25AM). Now I am furious, I do not understnad why both reps lied to me.
