Three part review: 1. Quality-Garlic Naan without cilantro! Wouldn't have believed it in million years! There are Safeway, Giant, and H-Mart within 2-4 blocks and they can't get cilantro? Two bunches for a dollar. Come on - please get cilantro. Both the onion Kulcha and the naan were under cooked and didn't look like they were cooked in a traditional tandoor oven because they had black charcoal in the back of the bread. The wall of the tandoor oven is made of clay, not charcoal. Chicken Tikka Masala - None of the pieces had burn marks on them and chicken had no flavor at all. Chickens cooked in tandoori oven are used to make Butter chicken and Chicken Tikka Masala. Some pieces were like dust - shouldn't be like that. Biriyani - You can't take plain rice and mix it with chicken curry and call it biriyani. That's an insult to the Biriyani! When you find lumped rice in 'biriyani,' you would know it was made from plain rice with curry chicken.Quantity and Price - Quantity is not enough to sell in a restaurant. Biriyani had enough chicken pieces, but not enough rice. Chicken Tikka Masala should be sold in a bigger container. The Choila should have little more chicken in it. Suggestion - Please work on the quality. Increase the price. There are people who won't be happy if you sell a dish for $10. Let those people go. Try to get customers who value quality and willing to pay more. For example, charge $16 or $17 for Biriyani, but COOK biriyani the way it is supposed to be cooked. Use more spices in the biriyani to get flavor. Invest on a good tandoori oven. That's a must to cook naan bread and tandoori chickens. Chicken Tikka Masala needs more ginger and other spices. I didn't feel any ginger or other spices; it was salty. Get your webpage where people can order directly from you. That will save you money in long run. Ask a tech; he will know what to do. Encourage people to order from you directly by offering them free items. I should tell you that the guy in the front was nice and...
Read moreJuly 2025 -- how are you still open? Ordered a curry entree with rice and naan and somehow -- it was all wrong.
The flavor and texture of incontinent goat rushed to the emergency room while spraying the ambulance. For real: adjectives in English don't exist to accurately describe this terrible restaurant and horrendous customer service experience. A $240 bill for seven people who wanted to try something new and different for the holidays is a major investment. The return of investment was essentially lazy entrees, burnt appetizers, and a special sauce that was obviously tomato soup, undercooked onions, and a sprig of cilantro. None of the curry had flavor. (How?) Oily masala broke apart. (How?)
How was the chicken IN SAUCE dry? Answer: they decided to scrape off chicken legs and thighs from the tandor (from two weeks ago).
Truly. If the management had owned up to their horror, I would never have written this review. As a former chef, I try my hardest to make lives easier and better in my interactions with management and staff. Not with Methi. As a business, as a kitchen, the only other epic failure I can recall like this was the Chinese place on 12th by CatholicU that gave me food poisoning; and to this day I swear that was the best meal I ever had.

Read moreI am extremely disappointed and frustrated with the food quality from this restaurant—two times in a row! My first order was Chicken Biryani, and the second was Mo:Mo, and both were absolute disasters.
The Chicken Biryani was a complete rip-off—it was filled with nothing but small, sharp chicken bones and barely any meat. It was inedible and downright careless. To make things worse, the delivery took an unreasonably long time, both times! As for the Mo:Mo, it was even worse—a total disaster. I was tired and unwell, unable to cook, and just wanted a decent meal from a nearby place, but this restaurant turned out to be the worst Indian food experience I’ve ever had. There was zero accountability, and it was obvious that they did not care about their customers.
When I ordered two Biryani, I expected two proper meals, but instead, I got something that looked like leftover scraps thrown together at the last minute—probably because they were rushing to close. This kind of negligence and lack of respect for customers is simply intolerable.
I will never order from this place again, and I will make sure others know to stay far away from this restaurant. They clearly don’t care about food quality, customer experience, or...
