Me and my man decided to check out outback since neither him nor I have been there for a long time. We arrive and only had to wait to a good 5 minutes before the hostess let us know we could sit around the bar instead of waiting. We found a nice seat and was happy so far. That ended up being the only thing we were happy about. We sat for almost 20 minutes. Servers were walking past us and just glaring. A manager gave us silverware but didn't ask if we were taken cared of. Finally a server came to us but he was not there to serve us apparently he said that our server was someone else and said that he would get our drinks for us. Of course he left to get our drinks but he could have been the one to take care of us since we were already waiting long enough. Then our server Alex came to the table who happen to be one of the servers who kept walking by us while we were waiting. We both ordered the steak med rare and asked for it to be cooked with the wood grill. My food came out perfect nothing was wrong accept that the asparagus really had too much salt. My boyfriend how ever did not come out right at all, you could tell that they only seasoned it and cooked it they didn't cook it on the fire grill like he asked, at first he was just going to eat it anyway and then found it was rare, as if it was just thrown on t he grill and handed to him. It of course had to be sent back, the server took forever to come around to check on us so we ended up hailing a manger instead and had her take care of it. Then we waited again and finally it came and honestly by the look of it I swore it came out med well. He cut into it and said it was fine and then when he tasted it he noticed how unevenly cooked it was and couldn't eat it at all. We waited and waited for our server to come and finally when he did Dominick told him what was wrong and he said he would get the manager and then we waited and waited and finally close to 20 minutes later the manager came and said she would take care of it. We ended up waiting and waiting again and at that point you could guess how irritated we became, finally the manager came and said she took care of it and that server has it and will bring it right over, at that point I was piste cause was there any reason of why she couldn't have brought it herself, so instead we had to wait another close to 20 minutes for our server to come with the check and guess what the lady only took over the shrimp she didnt even take over the steak and we were both piste, there was nothing wrong with the shrimp it was the steak and she still wanted us to pay for it, finally we told the server that it was unacceptable and get the manager. We waited longer and at this point we just wanted to walk out, finally a manager who was working in the back came out, she took care of the check and after she offered a beverage which ended up also being a waist of time cause the coffee was over 2 hours old, didnt have any sugar or anything in it. I could believe how people there were so negligent. I don't care if the server thought we would tip them or not we should be treated like everyone else, and the managers could not care less cause they only made the problem worse. We waited over 2 hours there cause they didnt feel that our problem was serious enough to spare there time. That outback sucked beyond believe, dont go there unless you want to be neglected...
Read moreJune 1. 2018. My husband and I went to Outback of Waldorf, Maryland to use $50 in gift cards otherwise I would never have chosen this restaurant. Last time I got stabbed in my gums between my teeth by a bone shard while eating babyback ribs. Since it would be basically a paid meal I risked it. What another disappointment! No part of my food showed quality preparation. My up charged vegetable was over ripe and wrinkled then burned. Utter garbage. I said I had dietary needs and my fillet mignon needed to be served salt/season free. It was NOT. My husband's prime rib was also over seasoned. My salad was swimming in dressing. I use maybe a tablespoon not a cup. Any sensible person would serve the dressing on the side so the patron could dress it by their preference. I forgot to make that request. I guess I assumed it would be served that way. My bad. Though the food was terrible the waitress did a good job and tried to correct that my specialty lemonade was too sweet. I ended up ordering unsweetened iced tea and my husband drank the syrupy flavored lemonade. That was my bad idea. I forgot to ask about the sugar content. I tried to change it once I realized my mistake but the drink had arrived so I decided to give it a go. I just did not like it. I do not like super sweet anything The unsweetened tea was very good. THE ONLY GOOD THING OF THE NIGHT. I went to Outbacks website and sent an email. I feel ripped off. I wasted 50 dollars in gift cards plus 22 more out of pocket. 12 being our tip to our waitress. SHE DID NOT COOK THE FOOD. Linda and Tim of Upper Marlboro 56 and 59 respectively. Do note I was already in a bad mood. But no matter. Dining out should be quality food well prepared and presented. Tim's french onion soup h s melted cheese sliding down the side of the bowl. I don't eat out to have my food slung and slipped at me. A phone was plugged in and sitting on the floor next to our table. The atmosphere just was not "fine dining" or high class. I enjoyed my quarter ponder from a drive through better. AND I LOATH FAST FOOD especially McDonald's. But they, at least, have learned to not dump a salt shaker on everything. I think over seasoning is a way to mask lowest quality. Quality does not need help and stands on...
Read moreI would like to mention in previous years past this particular Outback was a favorite of mine but in two recent trips (one was a sit-down and the other was a take-away), I found the service horrible and will not give them the chance for strike three. On the sit-down experience, after a few minutes of being seated, a loud and rather rude server appeared (black/female), being loud, over bearing about what we would like to order or drinks and also she was sweating profusely, at that time I asked the server for a chance to decide. At that time, she departed the table and I departed as well in order to be reseated. At that time, I went to the hostess stand and was reseated in the bar area, after a few minutes a manager (white/male) appeared being apologetic about the recent experience, he stated that the server was a bit off today due to an experience in her life that he believes she was on medication for and not sure how she was handling the matter. At that time, I advised the manager that I too was in Customer Service and she would never be working in her condition especially with the knowledge he has of her status under my command. In the matter, only a free appetizer was offered. (Date of the issue not under my recollection at this time). On August 13, 2015, I ordered Take-Away on my way home from work, food was for football game soon to come on, upon arrival to my dismay the same original server from the previous experience came out took my payment, after several minutes passed, I saw the same manager as before as well, come out to speak to another vehicle at that time, I asked the manager about my extensive wait time, he stated that did you order the two 10 piece wings, I said Yes. He stated that "OH", we had a mix-up on your order, your wings were given away to another customer, we preparing new ones for you. At that time, I asked we didn't the server explain that when she took my money, so I could have decided to wait or leave not knowing my schedule, he stated that he did not know and would comp my meal for the evening. After speaking with my relative, he advised that he too has had many issues with this location and will not be returning and as I explained earlier...
