We love Panera and eat there a lot but today was the worse service we have had. We didn't even stay to eat it there. We understand short staff but not rudeness! The girl taking our order was answering our questions rudely and had issues with our points rewards. We couldn't use them and there should have been no reason why. It was $2 off a sandwich, which we ordered. It Wouldn't let her select it and proceeds to tell us that's just how it is. It probably an app issue, that it's an app rewards but it didn't say that on there. It didn't say mobile ordering only. We told her it didn't and she proceeded while cupping her hands, that has to be it. We say no. Ok. Then there was no soap in the women's restroom. When I brought it to their attention, the manger and an employ and a possible guest where in a group, I didn't hear them talking at the time. So, I politely interpreted and told them about the soap and the acted as though they couldn't believe that I interpreted them while they were talking. Also, I went to get hot tea, After that, No green tea and just barely enough fairly hot water. The counter was covered in splendid and containers not filled. I told the girl at the counter that took our order about the tea and hot water. She was telling the other girl about why our reward would work and I told her should have. we have. spent a lot of money at Panera over the 3 day weekend on average $40 plus. She stopped talking. It was sad...That a Panera bread establishment that was not busy at 4ish pm, a manger letting the employee act as they want and just as rude as some of the employees they hire. They really need someone to go undercover or be a mystery shopper, so that they can fix what is wrong or needs improved. As we were walking out, approx 5 after getting our food, (mind you, I waited at least 10 minutes to get our food) the girl that took our order, said you can get your tea now and I can boil you some water. I politely said no, thanks honey, I got another tea and we walked out. We will not be back for awhile. We will go to Salisbury Panera Bread, where they take pride in their interactions with the customers and the cleanliness of their...
Read moreI am a local who visits the store often because I am a big fan of the company's food and policies. Although this location has disappointed me almost as often as the royal farms location right before the bridge. I keep coming back hoping its get better, but they keep bringing anger to my day. I travel on the road for work and take them with me. My to go order is the same every time. It is a turkey bacon bravo with no tomatoes and no side pickle. 3 out of ten times there is pickle juice soaked through the wax paper wrapper, basically making it taste as if it were dipped in pickle juice. 1.5 times out of ten there is tomatoes on it making it soggy. Today was barely different there wasn't bacon on my sandwich and there was tomatoes. I gave them a ten and didn't want change due to my 1 year old and a covid outbreak, so they received a tip of a dollar and thirty something. I remembered my order number was 213 I told the manager to ask the cashier about the tip suggesting not everyone give a tip and that she more than likely would remember from a couple hours before. The manager went on to say I needed to bring my receipt back in during a pandemic where we should limit contact and it is a legal responsibility to physically distance and limit germ output wants to pass a piece of paper back and forth multiple times. Long story short I am still hungry again. I gave away the sandwich. I didn't return to the store to argue with manager. But on a positive note I can tell when the one guy is in the kitchen because the sandwiches are neat and commercial worthy, and easily hold up in a cooler for 24 hours. I was going to make this a 3 star review, but I plan on returning to this location that I am almost $300 in wasted sandwiches. So I want legitimate change. This review is for just this location. I have tried and liked a lot of their menu. Their staff is always friendly and resteraunts are cleaned to a higher standard. I am just frustrated and disappointed with the local branch. I just want legitimate change in the department that this company struggles with. (Altering a sandwich from the menu) Fingers crossed...
Read moreI have never been more disappointed in Panera Bread than I was with my most recent order. I decided to treat myself to one of my longtime favorites, the mac and cheese, but what I received was absolutely unacceptable. When I opened my order, I was shocked at how poor the quality was. Instead of the creamy, rich, cheesy mac and cheese that Panera is known for, I was served a bowl of runny, watered-down pasta that was completely unappetizing.
The texture was all wrong. It was thin and soupy, almost like it had been mixed with water instead of cheese sauce. There was no flavor—none of the comforting, savory, cheesy taste that makes this dish worth ordering in the first place. It was bland, sloppy, and honestly felt like someone didn’t care enough to prepare it correctly. For the price Panera charges, this level of carelessness is simply unacceptable.
What’s even worse is that I’ve been a loyal Panera customer for years, so I know what this dish is supposed to taste like. I’ve had it countless times before, and this was not even close. It’s frustrating to pay for food that is supposed to be a higher quality option, only to receive something that feels rushed and completely disregards the standards that Panera advertises.
This isn’t just a minor issue—it’s a reflection of the management and kitchen standards at this location. If food this poorly prepared is being served, then there is a serious quality control problem. It’s not right for paying customers to receive something so unappetizing, and it’s clear that no one double-checked this order before it was handed to me.
I am extremely dissatisfied and honestly disgusted with how bad this experience was. It has completely shaken my trust in Panera. If this is the level of care and quality that’s going to be allowed, then I don’t see myself returning anytime soon. Panera needs to take accountability, improve their kitchen standards, and make sure customers are actually getting what they’re paying for. Until then, I will be warning others about my experience and taking my...
