Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in Maryland

Two stars because the delivery staff was prompt and polite. As for the food… Wow, admittedly I haven’t had Papa John’s in a while, but the pizza was lacking in sauce and the cheese was mostly unmelted and still hard in some parts. In other areas it was absent completely with just exposed crust and other toppings. Overall it was very off-putting, even mediocre pizza is usually somewhat appetizing, this was not.

Ordered wings to go with it, didn’t expect the best in the world from a pizza place, but certainly didn’t expect the anemic rubbery mess that these were. If it weren’t for the bones, I wouldn’t have even thought them to be from a real animal. Avoid this location, or perhaps this brand in general, there are better delivery places out there in this area I’m sure.

As an aside, didn’t they used to give you a little sauce and some pepperoncinis with your pizza too? No such luck today. Guess they really need to save a...

Last evening, another great pizza from here! With friends coming late into town, this was the easiest way to have hot food available in case they were hungry. They sure were! An extra-large for four people, two of whom said they were dieting until i brought this out :-). We always like the slightly sweet sauce and the generous toppings. I love the way the New York crust is chewy when-delivered and gets a good crunch when reheated. Well, no crunch this time - there were no leftovers! The staff was excellent, friendly, and courteous. Food was on-time and made as-ordered: the right ingredients, the right crust, properly cooked. I’m one of those who doesn’t usually tip on take-out orders. These folks saved me and my guests. This place is the only Papa John's near my house, so I use this place a lot. But unfortunately, this place's pizza quality is very inconsistence, and often times, disappointing. Like other places, this place charges for every additional topping. But it seems like for any additional topping order, they reduce the amount of individual toppings. I usually order pizza with A LOT of cheese. Extra cheese plus 3 cheese blend is normal. So, it should be good amount of cheese. But, the actual pizza still shows below tomato sauce here and there. Even the places covered, cheese layer looks kind of thin. It could be just my imagination, but it was better few years ago. Maybe it's time to change to some...
