EDIT: I just had a call with the manager, Monica and we had an excellent discussion about my experience. She was a true professional and explained in detail what happened with the order and took care of the Dasher as well. Class act all around. This is the kind of professionalism and level of customer service that ensures repeat visits. Now I'll definitely be back.

This was a terrible experience. The pizza was ordered online and paid by debit and was to be delivered to my place of work. Pizza Hut had Doordash deliver the order and I received a text saying that cash was expected upon delivery. I was puzzled because the food had been paid for the night before and a colleague thought perhaps it was just an automated text. When the Dasher arrived she in fact expected me to give her the full amount in cash. I had to explain to her that I had already paid on Pizza Hut's site with my debit card and had not, in fact placed a Doordash order. I showed her my order receipt and she instructed me to call Doordash. Getting in touch with them, the representative told me that she saw that there had been an order placed with their company but because I had already paid, I could take the pizzas. I had her tell the Dasher so that we were all on the same page but that left the poor woman out of money for that order. By the time everything (on my end) had been settled, the pizza was no longer hot and my students (they earned themselves a pizza party for working hard on an assignment) were given warm/cooled pizza. Over all, this was a mess from start to finish. I can only assume that my school was not in fact within Pizza Hut's delivery zone so they contacted Doordash to complete the delivery but to attempt to charge me a second time is something that I can't understand. Read moreCrazy! I placed an order online. I selected to pay cash on delivery. Order was accepted and tracking said was being prepared. Cool. About 35 minutes later the tracking updated saying food was on the way. 5 minutes after that the store calls me and said they have no delivery drivers so I have to go thru Doordash. Otherwise I had to give my credit card over the phone and wait until they could find a Doordash driver. THEN I asked was the food even done yet and she said no. So I ouldnt even go pick up myself. Complete waste of time and now we have to find somewhere else to go. Smh second bad experience with this place....
