Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Maryland

Horrible as usually. Chicken was dry and smallest I've ever seen at Popeyes. I ordered the Tuesday special, 2 PC mild dark. At the drive thru window the manager didn't seem to know what was included in the special. I was given my food. Received 3 pieces instead of 2, probably due to size and they were dry. Asked the manager why they were soo small she replied they are always like that. Well ma'am, my 30 years of visiting Popeyes says they are absolutely not "always like this". Otherwise I would not have wasted my time visiting the restaurant. Pulled up from the window to avoid holding up their line. Decided I could not accept what was given to me and took the food inside. Asked if I could replace the chicken with 2 PC chicken strip, also included in special at same price. Was told by manager that she could not do that. Proceeded to ask for a refund instead. Asked "just to clarify, 2 PC wings and 2 piece chicken strip are same price?" She said oh you want 2 piece strips. Yes maam that's what I asked you for. She apparently thought I wanted something else. Manager had young lady give me the strips which were supposed to come with the fries i ordered and a biscuit. Young lady handed me the box, I asked if the fries were in the box (because I did not see her box them). She said yes. I opened the box and no fries. Manager asked "what's wrong now". Corrected order. Asked for a Mardi gras sauce and employee looked to manager to see if it was ok for me to have one of their sauces??? Just such an unpleasant visit. I only went because my mom asked me to pick her up something. My previous visit dealing with the same manager went something like this. Pull up to drive thru - no one in line and no one behind me. Sat 2 minutes. Said hello into mic about 4 times. Got tired of waiting and drove to window to place order. Was told she couldn't take my order at window. Stated I sat at speaker a while asking for help. She replied I must not have been close enough to mic because her speaker didn't pick up on the fact that I was there. Mind you speaker is up on a hill. One can only get so close. I have placed orders at this restaurant from same distance several times before. Not my problem but ok. Continued to try to place my order. She refused stating people behind me would be upset. I replied that everyone behind me knew that they arrived after me. She smiled and said I should get back in line behind the 4 people that had since arrived. This place gets 0 stars. 0000 but Google made me give them 1 to tell you how awful...

Went here to purchase lunch shortly after they opened. Ordered my meal, then proceeded to the cashier window. Hispanic lady told me total- gave her my money. She then handed me change (without saying thank you) and curtly said move car up. No one was behind me so I asked her what she said. She said and pointed move car there--- moved car into spot she pointed to. Waited for ten minutes. No one came out with my order so put on a mask and went inside with my receipt. Showed lady at counter the receipt (also hispanic with a very thick accent) and she stated they were out of the food items I ordered. So- I was sitting in my car for ten minutes and no one had the decency to walk outside to tell me this? Asked for my money back and as I was leaving the ignorant ladies were pointed at me and saying something in Spanish-

Update: Received some discount coupons in mail and decided to give them one more chance. Ordered a 5 piece 9.99 special. Person taking order then said "Coda"- had no idea what he was saying and asked him to repeat himself. He then said "number Coda"- figured out he meant the 4 digit code on the coupon- Mind you- he had a EXTREMELY strong hispanic accent..

Really not worth it at all. The location is in the worst possible location it could be in. Seriously, this one needs to be moved. The drive thru is horrible. It blocks some of the parking spaces so some people either can't park or those that are parked can't get out. Leaving out is bad being that it leads to a major roadway with heavy traffic. Going through the drive thru is difficult, where it is hard to get out of it if you decide you no longer want to wait that long. Ok, now the inside. I know that we are going through a pandemic, but service was bad before that and it still is bad. They never have enough workers and the ones they do have work as if they would rather be on there phones instead of waiting on the customers. Food is ok, but it's a chicken restaurant. There really isn't anything special about it. The deals just rotate each month. The best thing out of here is the biscuits. Made really well. I only ever WALK to this location for them.
