My entire family paid for a block of rooms in which included dining at this establishment for a three day weekend family reunion......on day two (saturday) while having brunch four of our family members decided to move to another table that was (included in the designated tables for our event) so that they can communicate with other family members, when a hispanic gentle man approached them and abruptly complained about them moving to another one of "our tables"??? As we observed throughout our stay there for three days (the hotel's guests are predominately African American's from out of town and the surrounding community in which this hotel is operating) so "WHY" is it that the hotel is staffed predominately with Hispanic employees who have no consideration and are not sensitive to the needs of it's African American patrons who keep this hotel business afloat? Lastly, on Saturday evening while we ate dinner and held our family reunion festivities in the reception/dinner room we all were falling asleep, so when we asked about getting some coffee the hotel staff stated " coffee is not on your contract" and they did not even try to converse on the matter any further.....Note: We only had around 10 tables there, so that would be no more than 10 pitchers of coffee and we offered to PAY FOR IT....... Finally, I got up and asked to speak with a supervisor and he directed me to a waitress by the name of "Maritza".....she told me that she could fix me "one pitcher" of coffee, and I said ok better than nothing! Upon handing me the coffee she startled me with a staggering price of $18.90 !!! $18.90 for a pot of coffee??? To make matters worst, the next morning when we had breakfast there the same pot of coffee was $4.00 *Note: The reason I'm mentioning race is because we observed the demeanor and unhappy looks of the hotel staff represented in plain view while we were being served...
Read moreHad a 10:15am reservation for Mother's day. Got there at 10am, took about 10 minutes to get seated and the waitress took our order about 5-10 mins after getting seated and things went downhill from there. At about 11am, our waitress came to us to ask " what happened to your food" and my wife and I looked puzzled like we should be asking you that, it's been almost an hour and the food never arrived and no updates. Our kids were getting impatient and at 11:25am, still no food arrived at our table. There were only two waitresses working from what we observed, it seems as though the restaurant put more resources/ effort into their brunch section since it was being served at another part of the restaurant and not giving the same effort to those who came for breakfast. At 11:31am, my wife and I got up to leave with out kids, we went to the front desk and said we'll pay for the drinks we got but the food still hasn't arrived. The waitress was apologetic and said she's not sure what's going on. She went to look for the manager but he/she was no where to be found, so the waitress apologized again and said don't worry about paying, we'll void the check. This is a shame! It shouldn't take over an hour to prepare a meal. Their efforts were on those attending brunch from 11am and not on those who made reservations for breakfast....
Read moreYesterday I tried to make a reservation for my mother's 80th birthday. I ended up being late because my mother does not move as fast as me and my family. I sent a message letting them know that I was going to be late. Parking was all the way behind the building; so walking around took more of our time too. When I got there fifteen minutes before brunch was over. We stood there watching a white guy dance with a customer instead of acknowledging us. No One acknowledged us until 2:55pm! Which made a super late in getting to the buffet. One of the servers (elderly Asian lady) saw me and brought me to the back to see how much food was there. She told me I could not request anything else since it was over- Which we were okay with because there were so much more left than we needed. But when we came back to the front to be seated, The old Spanish lady (hostess) told us no we couldn't go back there because brunch was over with by now!! After telling her what we agreed on She still told us no. My family saw the lunch menu and did not want Any of it!!! I doubt I would ever Be back for them. I wish I could put zero stars. Only 2 people were helpful. We thank our server for the free apple juice for our baby trying to...
