I do like the fact that Rita's is only open during warm months because Rita's becomes a summer tradition. It sits in an ample parking lot but keep in mind, this place will be extremely busy during nights and weekends or holidays. But honestly, waiting in line becomes an experience in itself. You are surrounded by happy people eagerly waiting for their ice cream. Dog owners come and you can order soft serve for your dogs. It's nice waiting in line with a group of friends or family and you are surrounded by joy. We always enjoy Rita's. I appreciate being able to get treats for those with dairy allergies, too. There's always a good variety of flavors. When we just went, my daughter was given the wrong flavor (which is why I deducted 1 star). The line was too long to try to go back and get it corrected. *update- we have returned quite a few times, and never had the same mixup. Family favorite! This location generally goes from Spring through late Summer early Fall. Service is usually very good. On weekends and when it is hot out, it can be busy so expect it. Everyone can find something. This time would have been 5 stars but there was a mix up on a flavor. Usually that is not an issue but we have allergies so need to be careful what each one has.
