Nonexistent customer service and unsanitary
There was no one there when I walked up. I waited a few minutes and still no one came out. There was banging in the back as someone was moving around pans. After another minute or so, I called out, “Hello?”, but got not response.
Meanwhile, I’m looking around and the place was looking less than spotless. There was a particularly unsightly looking bucket of peeled, browning bananas that looked as though they were being discarded just sitting around.
A couple more minutes pass and still more banging and no one popping their head out. More calling out “Hello” and more silence. At this point, other prospective customers had waited for a bit and left.
When someone finally came into sight, they were still in the back, but visible and acting as if they were in no hurry to do anything—she didn’t even look in the direction of the register. I said hello again and asked if they were open. She didn’t say a word—she just took off her gloves, walked out from the back, and stood behind the register looking at me in silence. I tried to order an açaí bowl, but she said they were out. I ordered a mixed berry smoothie with bananas and at least they had that.
As I’m pulling out my wallet to pay, I see her pick up an ice cream scoop and start scooping banana out of that same, unsightly bucket.
Needless to say, I did not end up getting a smoothie...
Read moreThis location should be a case study in inefficiency and the ways employees can drive a place out of business. First they go on a “break” so they can chat and make smoothing for their friends. Then anytime someone walked up and waited as it got closer to the time on the sign to re-open they received a dirty look and rude stare as they punched the second hand even farther. I then counted over 8 people walk off as they waited in line after it finally opened and were completely ignored as the 2 employees talked about how annoying customers who complained about long waits were - loudly. While they made our 2 smoothies which took approximately 15 minutes mainly due to the chatter between the employees and their pals, 2 families of 4 walked off after being ignored. I pass this location 3 to 4 times a month and based on what I see and other reviews this isn’t anything new. I would estimate they are probably running off about 60% of their business. Asking customers who are inquiring about what is taking so long “what kind of crack they put in this stuff that you act so crazy about it” is...
Read moreFirst, the girl cashier didn’t give me a receipt, after waiting for about 10 min, I asked the guy doing smoothie if my order is coming and I got a response: where is your receipt. I got back to the girl cashier and asked for my receipt. She said: oh, I will give you an new one. And she gave me my old receipt! There was a time on the receipt - exactly about 10 min ago when I ordered and even my tips were included there. What did she try to do? Ok, got back to the guy, he took the receipt and threw it away, made a medium size smoothie and gave it to me. I said that I actually ordered a large one. He put the medium in a larger cup and filled in all the rest. So eventually I got what I ordered but what was it? They were all a little rude. When I was waiting I saw a couple of people experiencing the same: one customer didn’t get the right one, another didn’t get the right size. What’s wrong...
