Taneytown Deli & Grill — Restaurant in Maryland

I had to eat in the area and I ended up full but I can't really recommend it unless you have to eat right now. The sub bread was terrible: soft and gummy, the mayo was sweet, and it was a pretty short sub. The meat did seem high quality and was stuffed full of it. I can just think of multiple places not too far from here where you're going to pay about the same for larger and/or better sandwiches. I kind of doubt it's the best right there either. Just had this place for the first time. Let me start off by says "Wow!"

I had The Jawbreaker (corned beef, turkey, and roast beef over thousand island dressing and coleslaw) on pumpernickel. This sandwich was FANTASTIC. Perfectly seasoned, well portioned, reasonably priced, and not overwhelming.

I also had the Red Skin Potato Salad. This was also perfectly seasoned and very tasty. Very large clumps of potato that aren't too mushy or soggy.

Since new management, menu has changed and sandwiches are smaller...but prices are the same. None of the famous club or overstuffed sandwiches are on the menu any more. Just a typical overpriced deli now. They will still honor a sandwich from the original menu, but they will make it wrong. Happened to me twice.
