This is the newly renovated Fish Market, and not that I was a huge fan of the old but the new owners changed the look and feel of it, I didn't think that was possible. The visual is great, but feel - hmmmm! The former Fish Market (even with all of its issues) had a sense of welcoming warmth and old-fashioned, community charm about it, with friendlier staff plus a live band. This new thing just feels like a regular ole sports bar. I wanted to check out the updated version since the family was visiting, and we needed a quick place to go to unwind. The food and drinks were still pretty good, I must say. I may stop in for lunch sometimes, but for nighttime entertainment & grown folks vibes, that feeling is gone for me.

The “shrimps” on the front of the menu should’ve been my first clue but I tried anyway. I was VERY disappointed with the food here. No drink menu, food was BLAND and tasted like reheated frozen seafood, not fresh. The only good thing was the fresh oysters. The captain’s platter consisted of one piece of over fried fish, one dried crab cake, some “shrimps”, scallops and hush puppies. I could’ve save the time, money and stomach space. Clearly I missed the hype but the service was great and there seemed to be a nice ambiance for people who enjoy this type of place. Aaannnnddd, my WINE can in a PLASTIC WINE CUP with two STRAWS...who does that? Ps- SHRIMP is both singular and plural, no s required.

Real rating: 4.5 stars... There is lots to love about this place. This was my first visit. The atmosphere was great. The band (Thursday-Saturday) was entertaining. Hostess & wait staff were friendly. Drinks were well made. Bartenders were a little slow at the bar (20 minutes to get a drink), but the place was packed. The food came out relatively fast and was good quality (3.5 out of 5) with the best part being the roasted red potatoes and spinach medley. The women's restroom was clean. The huge parking lot was filled. Overall: I know I'm going to enjoy this place a lot in the future.

I would not recommend this low quality place honestly, the mall cop security at the front is a joke. She obviously doesn’t get any real action maybe she should apply for pg or park police or better yet enroll in the military with the nasty attitude she has.She tried to deny entry based on the fact my id was vertical rather then horizontal which is crazzy because if it was illegal for me to enter then when I get pulled over and travel all around the world then they would tell me I need to update my id as well. I felt completely embarrassed and she was completely unprofessional. Imagine being of the legal age to enter and someone stating they can’t accept your state issued Id in front of your family and strangers after driving 2 hours for a celebration .Although it is recommended you update as soon as possible it never denys me any access because that identification is valid and up to date . Drove 2 hours for my energy to be thrown off the whole time being at a birthday celebration due to a want to be Paul blart lady greeting me. How you welcome someone sets the tone and because of her my energy was off. The owner allowed me access and said I just can’t drink which is still not the law. As long as you are over 21 and have a valid (not outdated/false) Id any club/lounge or restaurant should allow access this is the first time in my life I’ve had this problem I highly don’t recommend this “restaurant” . It needs a complete remodel . The place is very old and not well kept. The bathrooms are nasty and very small. I see why it is for sale. Dont recommend wasting your time or spending your money in this establishment. Saw prior reviews about bugs and although I didn’t see any I’m not surprised! -100000/10 for the service upon arrival. For food the service from the young man was good but in my humble opinion Alfredo was nasty. We Had some shrimp tossed in a honey old bay like sauce and that was decent. The chicken quesadilla was decent as well. Nothing was great to be honest. All in all I most likely will never return. I Lived in this area damn near my whole life and never knew this existed turns out I wasn’t missing a thing . If I wasn’t there to celebrate a birthday party with family I would’ve most definitely left immediately s due to the attitude from “security”. If this place is on your list I’d simply...

I am a content creator and black small owned business owner and a small business supporter. I was invited to my dear friends 50th birthday party celebration last week on Wednesday and to my surprise as I entered the door, I felt the unpleasant welcoming, lack of character for a business that been in business for decades , and no culture and comfort for the new modern days we are living in. It was extremely outdated, and lacked on all levels of atmosphere, music, and features overall. Upon entrance, I was greeted by an unkept female security guard, who appeared out of I don't know where because she was not at the entrance when my sister and I came in. She approached us and said , umm the locals are looking at you , I said, excuse me I am here for my dear friend birthday celebration, she continued to say well you have no sleeves on your blouse and your sister cleavage is showing. I looked her directly in her face because I really was shocked and under the impression that she never dressed up elegantly or this place is a hole on a wall. I proceeded and said I need to speak with my friend. My sister said to her where is this policy, that if you look good you are not allowed inside? Then my sister asked can you get the owner? The guard said, oh the white lady over there she is not going to even entertain the thought and her locals will be looking. I don't know what that meant and what statement she implied but from the looks the place, the owner and the guard could use some maintenance, some new polish from head to toe. I said I DIDN;T EBVEN WANT TO ATTEND THIS SPOT BECAUSE ONCE RACIST, BIAS, SHOWING NEPOTISM AND TRYING TO DEGRADE OUR BLACK CULTURE FROM DECENCY AND BETTER.

The other thing I noticed, it was all of our culture of African Americans right in there supporting a racist dream! I will never spend money in wells that don't run water back up to my cultures drain but to each its own but this place doesn't deserve my presence by...

Today was my first time here, and I will never go back. The bartender was rude to me & scolded me for taking a straw out of the container on the bar. From the time I got there until the time I left, she was extremely rude to me. I stood in line to order at the service area of the bar for over 15 minutes & the entire time the bartender kept looking at me and refused to acknowledge me, but she told other people standing around me “you are next, you’re next,” And then I heard her say out loud several times to the organizer of our group today “I did not add 18% gratuity“ I felt like she was insinuating that we were not gonna tip her, I finally walked away after not being served, and I watched as the next couple people walked up to the service area and immediately got waited on.

So after about a half hour of talking to some of my friends, I decided to pay my tab and leave so I walked back up to the service area with cash in my hand and she looked at me immediately and said do you want your tab? I however, I paid my tab and tipped her seven dollars on a seven dollar bill and she never even turned around to say thank you or offer me my receipt. Her name was “two piece” and I just feel like she does not have the personality to deal with people or maybe it was just me, I don’t know why she had such a negative attitude towards me. I never even got to order lunch. I had one drink and I was trying to order another one, but she ignored me for 15 minutes straight while I was standing in the section of the bar where she earlier told me to stand if I wanted to be waited on. We had a group of 25 people there today and it is very sad that the bartender showed favoritism over some clients and not others. For someone who works for tips and made it known that she might not get tips from some members in our group, it is very sad because she doesn’t even realize I tipped her 50% and she never even thanked me or gave me the time of day...
