No. 1 China — Restaurant in Maryland

I have lived in the area for over 25 years and frequented this carry out many times over the years and recently the younger man who answers the phone and takes orders in person is intolerable! He is down right rude and disrespectful. Not once but every time. I have called and after receiving my payment he hangs up. I asked for extra sauce and was told "why didn't ask in the beginning". well I would have if the order taker was not constantly cutting me off saying what else you want, what else you want?! The shrimp in my shrimp fried rice is always mushy (overcooked) and there is literally 5 pieces of shrimp in a container of dry fried rice. :(. I have no idea why so many people are singing their praises because it is certainly not a professional, clean, reasonably priced establishment. If I could give zero stars I certainly would. Also, this behavior and subpar food preparation has been ongoing for at least 5 years. I take a break and try again and there is ZERO improvement in attitude or food quantity or quality. I am totally done at this point thanks to the new rude order taker. I refuse to pay sometimes $95 for orders to be spoken to...

The Food was good and great portions. However, One person placed the order by phone and another person picked it up. Order was incomplete. They left out the soda, and because this was our first time ordering here, the person that picked up the order, wasn’t told that they needed to get the soda themselves. We live further away and too far to go back. When I called to let them know the order was incomplete, that’s when she said, you get your own soda. She said, she thought I asked for French fries, but that wasn’t in the order either. I asked them to note it, and on our next visit, I’ll get the soda at that time. She only stated, that the next time, I’ll know I needed to get it myself from the case. I let them know if everything isn’t with an order at pickup, the customer should be informed of what they need to do to make the order whole. The guys that takes the orders over the phone and in person is very rude, always rushing and ready to argue about your order. I went yesterday and was over charged for an advertised special that was terrible by the way. The chicken was too spicy. Today I go to get the price corrected and ordered another lunch special and just have the credit applied to the new order,....that was done but not without words from that guy. The day before cause he's taking orders over the phone as well as in person he didn't give me all of my order and told me I didn't ask for something that comes with the order. But wasn't paying full attention to me. So today after to much back and forth I will not continue to support that disrespectful attitude like he doesn't car whether you order or not.
