So many unique unique ice cream options and even vegan friendly. The ice creams are expensive but pints make for a neat gift idea. You can buy the pre-packaged pints or ask them to hand-fill pints of any of the available flavors if they're not pre-packaged, so it's a good option if you want to get ice cream "to-go." They don't label the hand-filled pints so if you're getting similar-looking flavors, just remember to write the names on the lids before you leave the store. Also, if you are purchasing the pre-packaged pints make sure you get charged appropriately - pre-packaged is $8.99 per pint and hand-filled is $9.99 per pint. I would have gotten charged an extra dollar if I didn't question my decision to spend $40+ on ice cream and ask if the price was right. I got 4 pints which I'll list in order of how much I enjoyed them. Coffee & biscuit: coffee ice cream with bits of biscoff cookies. The coffee flavor is nice and rich and the biscoff gives it a bit of texture. For my mom it was probably too sweet but I think it makes it stand out compared to regular grocery store coffee ice cream. Definitely one I'd try again. Pina colada sorbet: I'm not normally a sorbet person because it's really cold amd icy but I really liked the refreshing summery flavor of this. It was smooth and not too hard. Surprised this made it to #2 on my list. Caramel apple pie (seasonal flavor): this had a nice apple flavor which wasnt overpowering. It didn't really taste much like apple pie, more like vanilla apple ice cream, but it was a fun try. Peach cobbler: the peach here did not have much flavor. My family could not tell that this was peach, and even thought it was supposed to be the apple flavor (because I didn't have the pints labeled). It was basically vanilla ice cream with sprinkles of the cobbler crumble and some pieces of fruit. Maybe it's because it was scooped from the bottom of the tub but I don't think this flavor was worth it as a pint. I probably should have sampled it before purchasing! Also the pint was not as full as the others but to be fair I had the guy hand-fill 3 pints so he probably got tired or was running too low on ice cream. I'll forgive it this time... So yep, not the most perfect first experience here but I definitely want to come back if they have hojicha and injeolmi flavors available. I wanted to try those after seeing them on their website but alas, when I went, they had neither. My suggestion would be to keep the website updated with which flavors are available each day.

Let’s talk about texture and mouthfeel first. The ice creams here are silky smooth (of course except for the ones that have other ingredients in them). You can’t really stop at one taste. The pints are dangerous and when you’re there, make sure to peek into the side freezer and see if any of the prepacked pints are up your alley, if not they’ll hand scoop one for you. All ice creams made in house with great quality ingredients. So far I have tried… roasted soybean, honey almond, Hojicha (this is roasted green tea, the flavor is so much better than matcha), roasted soybean powder, malted chocolate, Thai tea, Oreo blueberry cheesecake, and my now favorite London Fog (based on the drink). Let me take a moment to say that London fog is amazing. You may have noticed that I’m biased towards the tea based flavors, but they’re effing amazing. Get a pint, you’ll polish it off before you realize.

My son and I had some father-son time here for the first visit. We split a cookies and cream milkshake and he got a cup of Blue Moon. My cookies and cream was richly chocolate and delightful. I can’t remember the last time I could say that. We both liked our selections. They were creamy and tasted like they were made in a small batch as opposed to sourced from a large manufacturer. Their sign says as much. One of their team confirmed they make the ice cream on-site in the back. This place is a sleeper probably because it’s small. It’s bright white and feels ultra clean. They had quiet piano music playing overhead which added to the pleasant ambiance and wasn’t disruptive. *** have come back many times since and it’s getting more popular while maintaining quality and changing some of their flavors in and out. Very pleased with this place and the staff have great attitudes.

Unpopular opinion: I don't like ice cream, HOWEVER, I LOVE the ice cream at The Scoop. I don't know what kind of sorcery they're doing over there to get a non-ice cream eater to not only enjoy ice cream, but make a special trip for it.

The ube honeycomb is the best ube I've ever had. Ube is only one of two flavors I'll make an exception to eat if a place even has it, so I have had a lot of ube, despite that I'm not big on most other ice cream flavors. Ube is a family favorite, but my son can also tackle a serious amount of The Scoop banana ice cream. lol

Additionally, their non-dairy ice cream is so good you can't even tell it's non-dairy. It's creamier than any other non-dairy ice cream on the market and without an overbearing coconut flavor like non-dairy ice cream from competitors.

While I might not be big into ice cream, our family consumes it a lot (read, daily lol), and the daily-ice-cream-eaters in the family are in agreement: The Scoop is by far the best ice cream not only in the area, but when put up against places out of state, too.

To top if all off, the owner is nice, the staff is friendly, and the establishment is always top-notch clean. We will keep telling everyone we know about The Scoop.

You've converted this non-ice cream eater. Keep up the...
