Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Marysville

If the place was packed I can understand part of the service we received but it was a fairly light night as far as customers went. Intially we were told it'd be 5 to 10 minutes while the table was cleaned off, that was fine. As we were waiting we had a line of sight of the table they were going to clean for us. For the first 10 minutes people just walked past it without even a remote care. No bus staff in sight. Finally the host VERY slowly cleaned a plate or two off the table at a time. After about 30 minutes they finally had the dishware off the table and a waiter gave it a once over with a towel and said it was ready. As we walk up we notice food all over the table, pop obviously stuck on the table, and a dirty diaper just sitting on the ground. After getting the diaper swept away we asked for the manager. Once we asked for a manager, a waiter named Mark came over and asked if he could help us and when asked if he was the manager he said "I can be if you want me to be" and tried to dismiss our request. Once the manager showed up, he dismissed every complaint as nothing important and made us feel like it was our problem. Following the manager leaving we were waited on by our waitress who tried to make things up to us however she could. As we were waiting for food, we noticed multiple parties seating themselves because the host was no where to be found. It's one thing to have a single issue with your experience but our experience with this location was an absolute train wreck with no one on staff showing any interest in improving...

Really wished we had a better experience. We had a gift card and were excited to go. Upon arrival the store manager sat us and a very nice spunky waitress greeted us on the way walking in, that was very nice. When we got seated, our actual waitress was very clumsy, unaware, and not very friendly. We asked about the Sunday happy hour advertised and she had no idea what we were talking about. After the other nice waitress corrected her and we put in an order for two beers which took probably 10 minutes to get to us, no other drink, not even water. We ordered the Endless Boneless wings, they surprisingly came out fast, and we put in a second order that came out fast too. But in an order for a second round of beers, she forgot to put it in, we waited 20 minutes for it. We asked for the bill and she got all defensive. But honestly we had to get going. As we were paying I over heard her tell the other table that they could split the Endless deal between the two of them… so only paying 14.99 for both of them rather than per person… the women said “can you do that” and the waitress said “I wouldn’t lie to you”. WHY DIDNT SHE OFFER US THAT? and I doubt that is allowed. I’d rather half paid half the price too you know?

It’s sad because we probably just got sat with the worst waitress there. All the only staff was so friendly and nice… wish we had a better experience...

My girlfriend and I went to this Applebee’s for dinner in August 2019. We stood inside the entrance for 10 minutes with about 15 other people waiting for a hostess. We could see several open tables, after waiting the hostess finally walked up and told us they weren’t seating anyone for an undetermined amount of time because the kitchen was backed up an hour. We left.

Decided to return in January of 2020 for lunch, big mistake. Once again we waited at inside the entrance for 10 minutes (plenty of open tables) a hostess walked up and said “sorry let me get a table ready for you”. We waited 5 more minutes. When we were seated we quickly ordered our appetizer on the touch screen to avoid a long wait for it. When we received our spinach artichoke dip, our chips were crushed into very small pieces. We requested new chips, which took 15 minutes. Then after waiting 30 minutes on our entree’s our waitress told us “sorry, your food is done we are just waiting on your chicken to cook and it’ll all be right out”. 5 minutes after this statement the man sitting a table away who ordered 15 minutes after we did received the same meal I’d ordered with the same chicken.
