Sandwiches and salad review, not a pizza review here. This Hawaiian theme is great for this chain restaurant, but this dining experience has some ups and downs so I'm not going to rate it poorly because I need to give them another chance.
Customer service news. 10+. Ordering was easy and it's great they have a happy hour and daily deals. But what was off is it took us 28iniysnafter ordering to get a Philly cheesesteak sandwich and a salad when people were getting their pizzas already and already had appetizers within minutes of sitting down. We continue to wait for almost a half hour after ordering to get a sandwich and a salad which seemed very odd.
When the Philly cheese steak sandwich came out, I opted for the whole sandwich which was $16 instead of around $11. Needless to say, it had hardly any meat, lots of cheese and was a little bit over. Chris like it had been sitting in a heat lamp for a few extra minutes, but it was supposed to be heated toasted sandwich. However, the disappointment was the lack of meat on the sandwich. The texture of the soft bread was great. The flavors were fine but it tasted like eating green peppers soaked in cheese on a piece of bread rather than a Philly cheese steak sandwich.
The entree Catalina salad came out at the same time. It looked just like the pictures was a good amount and tasted great. We would definitely...
Read moreWe walked in and immediately nicely greeted by a friendly, cheerful and smiling young lady. She showed us the menus and told us to find a table first and then come back to the order counter. She was very helpful with my order questions. We ordered the 7 inch BIG KAHUNA pizza, MEATBALLS starter and the small garden salad. The salad came out first. This small size salad was huge, enough for two of us. Pizza and Meatballs arrived about 10 minutes later. Pizza is cooked in a pan, so there is no outer crust, just baked cheese with other topping bits. Ate all of it myself. Now the meatballs were the BOMB delicious. Lots of them too. Great bbq sweet and sour like sauce with pineapple bits and green bell pepper slices. We would have easily eaten all of it on the spot there. We forced ourselves to take home 6 meatballs for tomorrow.
Now this super nice and pleasant employee is Anna. She came to our table to check on us several times. She couldn't have been nicer.
COCONUT KENNY'S is lucky to have a great worker like her. We will be back to sample some more and...

I UPDATED went to a different location in Lake Stevens and it was actually really good so I’m not sure if it was just because it had just opened when I first went or why the food was not good but the second location I went to had the wall bar, which was pretty cool I didn’t like a lot of the drinks, but that’s OK. The cheeseballs were really good. The pizza was good like everything I had was good, so I gave it three stars instead of one because the other location was not good. I still stand by my first review. I just am not sure why the difference between the two...
