I brought my mom, who was visiting me from Southeast Asia for some shopping. When we got to Tory Burch, the store only had 2-3 customers inside the store with 4-5 staff, most were huddled together at the register not doing anything. My mom was first and the only customer lining up outside. A few minutes later another lady lined up. Right away, the other customer said the same thing as what I was thinking, why can’t they let us in when no one is in the store? I was telling my mom the store is not worth lining up. They are not an extremely hyped up, prestigious ultra luxury store. The other customer decided to leave instantly left and we were the only customer lining outside. Eventually a lady let us in. My mom told her she is a senior and from Asia and felt cold waiting outside. The SA made a condescending remark that my mom should have worn weather appropriate clothing and there are just some stores who has store policy that limit customers in store. I immediately told my mom to leave and I will not go in with her with horrendous remark like that. For the record, my mom was wearing long down fur trim coat, layered sweaters and pants with thermal wear and even have a scarf on. She did wear weather appropriate clothing! I walked away and my mom continued to go inside with one other customer inside and no more customer lining up. Being on a different generation and being Asian who tend to be more submissive in nature, my mom didn’t seem to catch the condescending tone of the SA. I had to exert my voice from the door to leave immediately because they had terrible customer service and I refuse to give them my money. My mom is not exactly a Tory Burch aficionado. She just loves to buy gifts for friends and family when she gets back home from her vacation and don’t really use Tory Burch as part of her wardrobe. We both just prefer more prestigious brands as part of our personal collection. I am not trying to poo poo on the brand. It’s the staff in this particular store that needs a complete overhaul and be educated on where they truly stand on the fashion and luxury standing or status. Very poor customer service. My wife and I, along with our three daughters were in this lineup they have outside (which is always odd since the store is nearly empty). They let 5 people out, but only let 1 person in. I don’t know if they “think” they’re the most elite store in the complex because they’re not. We finally all entered the store, I left for a moment with my youngest daughter, re-attended back in about 5 minutes and I was about to enter the store to make payment for the $1000 in goods that my wife and kids were about to purchase, and the staff at the door denied me access, stating I would have to stand back in their 10 minute lineup to enter the store, even though I had just been inside the store five minutes prior. Staff at the door knew exactly why I needed to reenter the store; it was to pay for purchases (as my family was waving through the glass)

She said she was going to radio the manager to confirm whether she could allow me to reenter the store without having to wait in the lineup, and she just stood there and smiled, and never got the response back from the manager, and kept motioning for me to stand back in line. Absolutely the worst customer service at any retail store (even a corner store had better customer service), and we were about to spend $1000 in the store. I had the credit card to pay for the purchase and they weren’t letting me in the store unless I stood in their 10 minute lineup. My other child had to come outside to get my credit card to end up paying, and they hassled her to stand back in the lineup before reentering.

If this is how they are going to treat the customers, they don’t deserve any future business. My wife and kids have spent thousands of dollars here in the past, I will never come to this...
