We ordered 4 drinks while driving from Vancouver to Seattle. When my mom got to the bottom of her drink she had a piece of the espresso machine in the bottom of her cup. We called the store and sent in a picture of the piece of the machine. They were apologetic and told us to come back for a gift card. On our way home we stopped in and were given 2 $4 gift cards (didn't even cover two drinks) and a replacement drink for the one with the piece of the machine. Then the manager forgot to tell the baristas to make the drinks we ordered and we waited while everyone else walked out with their drinks. The food and drink were exactly as expected, so that was 4-5 stars. I could see my order sitting on the back counter but it took over 5 minutes before anyone acknowledged me so the service could definitely be better and the atmosphere was chaotic. There was only one other person waiting for a drink and another seated in the corner with a laptop so it wasn't busy inside but the music was really loud and at least 5 employees chatting and I assume helping the drive thru put off a bit of an anxious vibe. I wouldn't associate this Starbucks as somewhere I'd go to relax or get any Internet work done.
