I'm going to try to set the record straight for the people leaving 1-2 star reviews... I always use the doordash order online option so I can pick up when it's ready. This place DOES NOT prioritize those orders over people ordering in person. They prioritize what came in first and move down the line whether it's in person or online orders/Doordash orders. This is how every GREAT business operates. Spoon & Straw is doing exactly as they should. Also, the chairs and tables are ALWAYS outside during these sunny days, maybe one of the reviewers was there super early where they didn't have the time. This place is always busy (because they're amazing!) And making these bowls and smoothies take time if you want it done right with the freshness they create! Also, if you're ordering food, it's going to take longer because it needs to toast and they are making your bowl and getting ALL of the wonderful ingredients put together in both. And the staff is extremely friendly since it's generally the owner, her daughter(s), son, or they're friends working there. I'm pretty damn sure they offered that gentleman who dropped his bowl due to his young kid, that they would make him another one free of charge. They're a small business. They're not wanting to lose patrons, so it sickens me to read reviews saying that they "refused" to make him anther one. Smh. Also, don't come back if you feel that way about this place. More deliciousness for the rest of us. I order here weekly and the staff is amazing! The chocolate banana smoothie and the blended strawberry lemonade are my go to! Super yummy! Can't wait to see what new concoctions they come...
Read moreI really wanted a good açaí bowl as they are hard to find now that HB in Kirkland closed. I have yet to find anything that even comes close to them. Anyway, I googled this place and figured I would give them a try. I drove from Snohomish to marysville and have to say I was not impressed. First it was WAY over priced for what I got. $17 for the bowl with fruit. Only thing I added extra was another choice fruit but I also took away one too. And there was not as much fruit as I thought especially for $17. And I noticed they use frozen fruit as well as fresh. They say all they fruit is fresh so I was confused when I saw they guy getting out the frozen fruit bag with pineapple in it. The bowl was bland and lacked flavor. So I guess I can say I tried it and it was just okay. But def can’t justify...
Read moreVERY delicious! The texture of the smoothie was so smooth, no big chunks (just the way I like it) and was thick but not too hard to get up the straw. Super flavorful! I'm not a fan of coconut so I was hesitant to try the Pitaya Bowl, but it was surprisingly tasty with the coconut flakes (they weren't overpowering, just lightly flavored)! The different flavors and textures mixed really well, and felt indulgent and filling. My daughter wished she could customize the recipes a bit (which they wouldn't do), BUT I recommend giving the bowls a shot as they are on the menu because you might be surprised at how tasty they are! For reference we tried the Pitaya Bowl and the 4 Berry smoothie. Not your average smoothies,...
