Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in Maryville

Ok so this may be a little long but it’s worth the read. I had originally called and placed an order with Little Caesars for 10 pizzas. I needed to make some changes to my order .. tried to call .. nobody answered so I went to their location .. (little Caesar’s) they informed me that they never planned on completing the order and they don’t take orders over the phone in the first place.. so I’m freaking out upset and mad because it was for my sons birthday party. I decided to call PAPA JOHNS and Clay, the manager, answered and I explained the situation and he gave me a discount and said he was able to place the order. I was so thankful for that because what would I have done at an 8year olds birthday party with 40 people and no pizza. He was so understanding and so kind and just overall great . I work very hard for my money and I am more than happy to spend it here. From here on out when I have large orders .. I will be using PAPA JOHNS. 5 stars for them and their wonderful customer service. You can tell the difference when the manager is kind and the store runs smoothly and when the manager could care less and you run into situations similar to mine with little Caesar’s. I love Papa John's Pizza, their food and service was GREAT! The food and service deserves 5 out 5 starts, and if you're getting your food delivered, it's perfect!

But with that said... The ONLY ISSUE I have with this location, is that it is in a HORRIBLE location! It's hard enough getting into the one way parking lot in a little car (which that one way entrance is actually the exit as well), and down right IMPOSSIBLE to get into the parking lot with a big truck, then having to turn around in the back, then exit out of the area, and don't even think about turning left if you're picking up your food, just turn right and go down to the red light and turn around.

This place really does deserve 5 starts, because the waiters and waitresses were really nice and friendly, and food was EXCELLENT!

Do yourself a favor, and get it delivered. It's only like $3.00 to get it delivered, and then the tip. (Give the delivery driver a good tip $$$, it's worth it to just avoid having to deal with the messed up parking lot LoL) That's what I'm going to do from now on.

I saw advertised on T.V. the New York Style Pizza at Papa John's. I have been to New York and had their pizza and Papa John's is no where near there taste. Papa John's slogan is "Better Ingredients. Better Pizza". That is not true. When I got there I asked the guy is it a true New York style pizza and he told me all they do is take a large dough and make it into an extra large pizza. That's how pizza places usually make their thin pizza crust is to take pizza dough and make it one size bigger to get a thin pizza. He then told me it would be about 15 to 20 minutes. About 15 minutes later I saw a guy put a pizza underneath the warming rack and didn't think nothing about it. Then about 10 minutes later a girl comes out of the office and grabs that pizza ask me my name and then hands it to me. Why didn't the guy who got the pizza out of the oven ask me if I was waiting on a pizza? If you want a good New York style pizza try Metro Pizza...
