UODATE. below are two reviews I posted. As you see in my second review, I said I was going to go back and at dinner time to see if the food was different again from lunchtime. And I can say without a doubt Food at dinner time is much different than what I experience at lunchtime. The food was absolutely scrumptious.. My biggest problem with this place that they bring your food out and dribs and drabs. The first plate came out and we sat there for an additional 10 minutes before the second plate came out. We had four plates come out. I took about a half hour for all four plates to come out. The last thing that came out was the pork fried rice which we should’ve gotten along with the chicken because that’s usually your side plate. Now a couple came in after us and ordered fried rice also and theirs came out before ours. Not sure if the waitress gave them our plate of fried rice but either way we had a ridiculous amount of time for the meals to come out. I have been in the restaurant industry myself for many years the whole order for the table should come out at the same time. They are moving to a larger restaurant. I’m not sure how they’re going to be able to handle this problem.. I really hope they get it together because the food is absolutely delicious but there’s A few things that need to be corrected. REVIEW #1 Through the years I have seen restaurants go downhill, including one of my favorite restaurants Called New Asian cuisine. I’m a Chinese food lover, My son wanted to go to new Asian cuisine and I said please find me a different Chinese restaurant. He found sizzle and we went there for the first time yesterday Not only was the food Outrageously good the atmosphere was cute too. But I found out that they are moving to 1826 Windsor Square in Mathews under a new name called The imperial treasure. So if you’re looking for an awesome Chinese dinner or lunch check them out I highly recommended it. REVIEW #2 So I went back for lunch with my girlfriend after bragging about the place and I ordered basically the same thing I ordered for dinner. I was very disappointed because the chicken was not as good or nearly look like or tasted like it did at dinner time. One of the things I ordered was sweet-and-sour chicken at dinner it was nice large pieces of chicken not overcooked and absolutely delicious. Lunch or small pieces and extra crispy and not nearly as good as it was at dinner time. I thought maybe they were using the remnants of the chicken for lunch. Now I absolutely loved the Chinese eggplant with garlic sauce, which not many Chinese restaurants serve. It is also a favor of my sister and she wants to go tonight so I am going to do an experiment. I am going to go tonight and I’m gonna order the sweet-and-sour chicken to If it Is the same that I had the other night at dinner is gonna be terrible like lunchtime. It’s very disappointing when the restaurant is not consistent. so the question is is it the cooks or is it they use chicken parts instead of nice plump chicken pieces for the lunch as...

I've been a couple time so far. I know this restaurant just opened up relatively recently and sometimes it will take time for the experience to get consistent with new restaurants. I will continue to visit and try a couple more dishes when i am on that side of town as I hope to see more restaurants like this in Charlotte and want to support them. Some dishes have been great, some have been.. ok at best.

I keep going back because I absolutely love hand pulled noodles and Chinese food, I keep hoping i will find a dish that I like so much I can keep coming back and ordering the same dish over and over while also trying new ones. Looking at other reviews it seems like it depends on when you go (and maybe what cook is in the kitchen cooking things) as to if you get a consistent food experience. It's important to have consistent tasting food if people want to come back and order the same thing because they liked it.

-Food-

:I've tried

+Spicy soup noodle this was probably the best dish so far I have had, I will try to continue to explore their soup/noodle offerings. +Bejiing zhiang noodle This was ok, it is normal for it to have a lot of oil but it tasted like it lacked depth in the flavor development I found it a little bit boring. +Sautee tomato and egg egg had ok taste, but it was a little too sweet for me usually it just has a little sweet to it not so much, I think if it was less sweet I would order it again (maybe they make it like this for Americans because a lot of them like sweet in their Chinese like general tso) +5 spice beef This was ok, nothing special. Same as the other dish, the flavor was ok but lacked a depth that usually exists on this dish. I would try another appetizer maybe. +Cumin Hamburger the meat was very strange it looked fried like maybe the same meat used for another dish with no sauce or anything it was quite dry and chewy with sliced green chillis, the bread was also very dry. Usually these are one of my favorite things to order when they are on the menu at chinese restaurants but I've never seen one quite like this. i would not order this again.

-Next time I will take pictures to show.

--Service--

-The service was prompt I had no issues waving at staff to get assistance or to have my order taken. In fact they seemed ready to take our order sooner then we were ready to decide and came back every minute or so until we ordered. I think this is because it is a small space, because of this when all the tables are full they are trying to open up tables for more customers. This didn't bother me, but it might bother some that are sensitive. I have no problem saying we're not ready until we are, it's very simple. -Our dishes came out quickly and as they were ready, this means they come out as fresh as they're going to be, we ate family style so this was not an issue since we shared all our...

Update - I visited again, one week later, for dinner this time, as I needed my Asian food fix. See my original review below which was during lunch time. Sometimes you are blinded by new shiny things and you don't see the real picture. So here's the update. First and foremost, originally I thought the permanently attached fans on every wall was a great feature as it keeps the air moving. Now I realize that they are there because the business uses no air conditioning. And no, its not broken, I asked more than one employee. They are in a pretty new shop/building and it was off the first time we visited too a week prior. The only difference was a week prior was lunch and the outside temp was only 80 degrees and the fans were on full blast. This time it was for dinner, the sun was beating down right through the front windows, some of the fans were off (or broken), and it was at least 93 degrees outside. It was every bit of 90 degrees inside. Nothing like eating hot Asian food while sticking to the vinyl chairs. Second, forget about the fried rice as mentioned below - its only included for lunch. You don't get ANY rice with your main dish, not even a scoop of plain white rice. You can buy some for $11 to share if you wish - turning your $13-$18 entree into a $24-$29 dish. Not worth that much. And finally the service. You would think they would come around more often to offer or at least refill your drink/water - as you are eating hot food, in a hot dining room, while sitting on hot vinyl chairs, with hot air blowing all over you - you'd be wrong. The atmosphere and poor service takes away from the taste of the food. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt, and try them again. I'll post a new update. In the meantime, get your food to go.

Original post - Best Asian food in all of Charlotte. Trust me! I would know as I've been looking for it for the last 25 years!! You will not regret a visit to Sizzle! The Sizzle LoMain (steak, chicken, shrimp, and mussels) was enough for three people. And the fried rice was the same price as the delicious white rice. Wow -...
