I love the location in Kiehe. However, there is at least one employee that make the one in Lahina a dump, the old bald bartender. His personal mission is to decide who not to serve. His bitterness, meanness and nastiness brings the whole place down. He have no intention on helping the place operations better and make profit.
He delay serving me. So petty that he will not put the drink on a coaster; I used a napkin. He put the next drink on the counter again and left the old glass there for 20 more minutes.
I told him in the beginning I would have two drinks and live, I was a little tired. After the second, he did not say a word to me for 2 hours. He makes sure he serve and socialized with all others first. I put on my headphones and pretended to watching videos.
Now he stick the check in my face and grumble about me not being able to hear. I told him I could here everything and asked what took so long. He didn't like being questioned which lead to choice words from both of us and him informing me me would never serve me again and telling me to leave. I wondered when was I ever served by this guy. This is his personal objective.
There was a vomit like smell around the bar. Half of the wine glasses hanging in the bar were cloudy and dirty. On a previous visit he and a female bickered so much that I didn't get service for about 40 minutes until he knocked all the water and tea glasses on the floor behind me. He put the back on the station without washing them (very nasty).
I've been there about 4 time and it's always like this. This is a case of trying to hide bad caracter behind the ridiculous concept that " the customer is responsible for the experience" gone far too...
Read moreAwful Experience: The salsa and guacamole was the worst I've had in awhile. They both were bland. My husband added salt and pepper to both and it made it better. He ordered the chimichanga and I ordered taco and enchilada, relleno meal. My taco was good. The rest was so bland, simply tasteless and I'm not picky at all with Mexican food so for ME to write a bad review on Mexican food it was bad.I should have gotten tacos only. Waiter catered to locals, we ate then asked for check. She saved us money because we were ready to spend some on the drinks. So for that I thank her. I had to ask her for my guacamole twice, I called her over for more salsa. She then saw we were out of chips and she asked if we wanted more, yes we've been waiting. We never received water nor was asked for refills on our margaritas. I had to go in my purse and pull out my bottled water. She was occupied with 2 other guest at different tables with us made 3 tables occupied in Amigos. That should have told us something but I wanted Mexican food, yes in Hawaii. I read the reviews and was warned and we still went. We won't be back and I thank Amigos for saving us money in Hawaii. I dont recommend nor...
   Read moreWe ordered to go-
Food is just ok, not great, service was fine.
Our order was almost $60 for the 2 burritos, we ordered to go and when I asked if we could get a bag of chips with our order we were told we'd be charged for it which seems a bit ridiculous given that the dine in patrons all receive free chips and salsa at their table.
Charging $4.00 to add a spoonful of red sauce over a burrito seems predatory, now granted we should've checked the prices but when the person taking our order asked if we wanted our burrito "wet" my husband said yes without being told it's a $4.00 upcharge.
Furthermore, it was "burrito Tuesday" which means every burrito was supposed to be $14.00- we were charged full price so we overpaid by at least $12.00.
I'm bummed because I was so excited to try this new place, but the high prices, mediocre food and being told we couldn't get the free chips dine in patrons were served left us with a...
