Joel's Plate Lunch and Burgers — Restaurant in Maui

Food was just okay… but I wish I would have tried the other food trucks in the area. The service was not good, granted it was one person running the food truck, but because of that they made us feel like a nuisance, from blaming me for my credit card and it being too thick to swipe, complaining and telling us how long it was going to take for us to get our food (even though we were okay with waiting), and rude comments when we picked up our food. He was turning several other customers after us away in a similar fashion, too.

I understand the food truck was under staffed, or perhaps they were having a bad day - but don’t make that the customer’s problem. We are trying to give you service and money....

The food was outstanding and the service was great! I had the Maui Shrimp and Pineapple and it was perfect! I grew up eating shrimp and the shrimp they served was moist and it wasn't overcooked. Nicely done! My wife had Garlic Shrimp with Teriyaki Beef and she said her meal was tasty. The servings were generous and we didn't leave hungry. The guys noticed us enjoying the music as we were eating their amazing food, and turned the music up so we could hear it more clearly! I can't say enough good things about the food and service. I’m from Oahu and this is one of the best Teri beef plates I’ve had in a very long time. The Mac salad was just the way I like it. Very simple and fresh. The shrimp was pretty good too. The portion size seemed a little small for the price but I don’t know. It’s pretty far out there so maybe that’s just what it takes to make it profitable enough for the owner to keep going with his business. Seems like every plate lunch here is like 5-10 dollars more than I would pay on Oahu. I’ll definitely be craving this Teri beef when I go home. Hopefully it’s still around when I come back someday.
