Starbucks — Restaurant in Maui

The barista actually started yelling at me that I shouldn’t have made two orders. The first one being my real order. But then my son wanted a cake pop and so I paid for that separately. After waiting 30 mins., I finally asked if my cake pop would be ready soon because I’ve been waiting 30 mins since placing the order: that’s when she yelled at me that it’s my fault I made 2 orders and that now I’m rude because I wanted to skip the line and get my order before anyone else. This was not the case because after I ordered my cake pop, 2 other large groups came in and ordered in person. Both of those groups got their food out while I was simply waiting on a cake pop that had to be ahead of those giant orders because I ordered first. It’s really sad because this is the first time since I’ve been in Hawaii that I’ve encountered any business that was hostile and unwelcoming.

This is a new Starbucks location so the building is nice inside & out. This was also my first time here. Walking through the doors, the first thing to catch my eye was the dining area on the right. With mermaids on the wall. In the center is a tiny section for merchandise. On the left is the food display, cash register & mobile pickup.

Their evening hours seem quiet. I only saw a few customers there coming & going during my quick visit. No one greets you when you come in. However once you get to the register someone will come help you. I placed a mobile order & wanted to pick up a cup with points. Except this location doesn’t let you use points on the Maui coffee cups. Also their computer system doesn’t accurately show your total of reward points. The drinks were good, however I forgot to ask for my 5th item. Lmao. So I might have to do a visit redo with food & the drive through for a store experience comparison.

My husband and I had just finished a fantastic snorkel boat trip with the Calypso crew and were in need of a refreshing hydration treat. We decided to stop by Starbucks and try something new, the Iced Apple Crisp Nondairy Cream Chai, and absolutely loved it! The drink was perfectly made and hit the spot after our amazing adventure!

The store itself was very clean and well-organized, which made the experience even better. Our barista, Jarred, was incredibly friendly, and the service was efficient.

I also have to commend the cleanliness of the bathroom facilities, this location stood out compared to many Starbucks I've visited across England, Canada, and across America, where cleanliness and stock levels can be inconsistent.
