I want to love Dale’s…unfortunately, the waitresses and bartender were extremely impolite…there was no greeting…We sat at a table and were only there 30 seconds and the foul stench matched the greeting of the bartender. Flood water, mold, sewage. I’m not sure, but it smells as if it needs a GOOD cleaning. Adding this in response to feedback from owner below: I did not complain about DORA or the liquor laws…. I am from out of town (we don’t have it there) and I was not clear on how DORA worked. I do expect you all to follow laws, as that is what I do as well. I have nothing to hide about what I did or said. Cameras don’t lie and you should be more concerned about your staffs lack of interaction and ability to communicate with new customers. Really the only thing I said about my DORA beer was requesting a non chilled glass… as I prefer room temperature beer glass. As a customer I would think that establishments would want to foster kind greetings and promote friendliness - which may have provided that customer service to make up for the bad smell. For example-“welcome to Dales, we are happy you stopped in. My name is Monica and you can have a seat where you would like. Here let me grab you a glass for your DORA beer.” As far as your comment about “if you’ve been paying attention to the news” that’s not a professional response. Very derogatory…. Other establishments must also be dealing with the same weather and I did not smell that same odor at those establishments. With that being said…your response would have more appreciated if you acknowledged there was a problem and that you are working on managing it and “we would love for you to try our friendly neighborhood bar again. We are sorry you had a...
Read moreWalk into Dale’s Bar & Grill in Maumee and the first thing that hits you is the smell—like heaven if heaven were rolled, sprinkled and smothered in a secret seasoning that I can’t even begin to describe. The second thing that hits you? The bartender, who smells just as good as the kitchen—warm, delightful, and completely unforgettable.
Let’s talk about the wings, because they deserve the spotlight. Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and coated in a sauce that clings in all the right ways. They arrive at the table steaming, fragrant with garlic, heat, and a whisper of home—kind of like the lady slinging drinks behind the bar. If there’s a perfume that smells like Dale’s wings, I want it bottled and sprayed on every bad decision I ever make.
Even the burgers have a scent that flirts with you from across the room—grilled beef, melting cheese, and toasted buns that somehow smell buttery and bold at the same time. Honestly, I wasn’t sure whether to take a bite or ask it out.
The fries? Golden perfection with just enough salt to make you reach for another beer—which, conveniently, the bartender pours with a smile that could melt your ranch dressing. There’s a little mischief in the air at Dale’s, like the food and the staff are in on the same inside joke: you’re going to leave full, flustered, and already planning your next visit.
Bottom line: Dale’s doesn’t just serve food—it serves up an experience. Come hungry. Leave happy. And if you catch a whiff of something mouthwatering that isn’t coming from the kitchen… well, you’re not imagining...
Read moreWorst Experience Ever!
The owner Bill Anderson is a complete jerk.
My parents were in town and I wanted to take them to Dales so they could check out their new patio. We have frequented both locations over the years and typically have had a great experience. However, at lunch today a bug flew into my moms salad as soon as it was set on the table, which is understandable since we were on the patio. We couldn't get the bug out since it crawled under the lettuce and just asked if they could bring her a new side salad. The waitress said ok and took it in the back.
Then the owner came out with the salad (and bug) and told us it was our fault for sitting outside and that he would not give us a new salad and if we wanted one we would be charged for both salads. He spoke with absolutely no tact, was beyond rude and embarrassed by mom in front of all the other guests on the patio. My mom started crying.
The guys seated behind us couldn't believe it. They got up and walked out saying "that guy lost us as customers over a 75 cent salad". He also lost me and my family as customers (6 of us). I hope that $7 was worth it! It ruined our afternoon together as a family this holiday weekend.
I will tell everyone I talk to about this horrible experience and will never set foot in an establishment owned by this jerk again. I wish there was a way to...
