Garibaldy's — Restaurant in Mayagüez

Honestly, I feel very sad writing this review, I have been to this restaurant more than 20 times and I’ve recommended it to so many people because I genuinely love the food and treatment until a few days ago. The person who took my order and I had a miscommunication because they didn’t ask what type of tortilla I wanted and I didn’t specify which one I wanted, which to me sounds like an error on both our parts. When my food came out it didn’t look like what I always order because it wasn’t so I told them and they agreed to change it but then the person who took my order came to our table and flat out scolded me and called me out for not specifying what tortillas I wanted and telling me how much I was costing them for that miscommunication on BOTH our parts but they put it all on me. The hot sauce they have is great! The chicken was weird in texture and flavor and the beef was flavorless, real sad. The sauce made up for the the difference and why I gave it 3.5 stars. Another bummer is that they don’t give enough limes for the tacos. I received 2 thin wedges of lime for 4 tacos. The horchata was just ok the cup was all ice and very little horchata, nothing special. The service was decent, one thing I find shocking is they don’t have birria they claim they run out of it quick, if that is the case you would figure your hot seller would be something you would stock up on. Cute place, chill vibes, great Mexican food (dare I say the best I've had yet in PR ... and not for lack of looking). Good prices (two meals and sodas all told $20). Will definitely come back.
