They have the heartiest food, not only are the portions extremely generous but you will more than likely have some food left to take home( if you're eating in the restaurant). My husband and I ordered their spicy chicken melt sandwiches and onion rings, and a plate of the loaded nachos appetizer; we didn't dine in the restaurant so luckily we already had the take out plate to store the leftovers! The food is so delicious and made fresh, of course, and in my opinion completely worth the price(which is really not expensive). The other important detail that I can't leave out - they are open when no one else is and late too! We went on Christmas eve, no other restaurants were open and especially not after 11pm. I completely recommend Denny's to anyone and everyone looking for some delicious, hearty, comfort food. đđđđŻ I still completely recommend Denny's, just went there again very recently and tried a couple of their other dishes; and I just have to say - ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!! The employees are also, still, very friendly/courteous and the food is still, just awesome! This time we tried one of their burgers and a breakfast plate, and we are so glad we did. So again, if you haven't already been there and tried the food, please don't hesitate to give them a visit and try out their food - I guarantee that you will not be disappointed!! Update! - The food is still extremely delicious and very generously proportioned. This time my husband and I ate at the restaurant and without any disappointments; the staff is so friendly and attentive, our waitress/server- Cristina Q. - was very friendly and she made sure we had everything we could possibly need or want. So a very big Thank You to Cristina! This time we both ordered the Chicken Bacon Ranch Sandwich with seasoned fries, and of course, it was so delicious and filling. Like I have mentioned before, the portions are so generous that we both could only finish half of our sandwiches- so, we now have leftovers for dinner! And, again, I absolutely, positively recommend that anyone who has not yet been to Denny's, go on over and give them a try, I guarantee that you will not be...
Read moreI just want to take a moment to share how truly impressed and happy I am with the turnaround at this restaurant. For a long time, it felt like things were not quite right hereâthe food and service didnât always meet expectations, and honestly, I wasnât sure Iâd come back. But recently, the changes have been nothing short of amazing, and I can honestly say this place has found its spark again. From the moment I walked in, I noticed a completely different energy. The atmosphere feels brighter, the team works together seamlessly, and you can see the pride everyone takes in their work. Itâs clear that this restaurant is striving not just to improve, but to create a warm, welcoming space where guests feel truly cared for. A huge part of what made my visit so special was my server, Camila. She is absolutely wonderfulâkind, attentive, and full of genuine warmth. She didnât just take my order; she made me feel valued and welcomed, checking in at the perfect times and always with a bright smile. You can tell she truly loves what she does, and her energy lifts the whole room. Itâs servers like Camila who turn a simple meal into an experience you want to repeat. The food itself was fantasticâdelicious, well-prepared, and served hot and fresh. Itâs such a refreshing change to see consistency and care in every dish. You can taste the difference, and it makes the whole dining experience so much more enjoyable. I really want to commend the entire team for the effort theyâve put in. This restaurant has grown so much, and it shows in every detailâfrom the food to the service to the overall atmosphere. Camila especially deserves recognition for going above and beyond to make guests feel special. This place has become somewhere I look forward to visiting, and Iâm excited to see it thrive. Thank you, Camila, and thank you to all the staff for the love and effort you put into making this restaurant...
Read moreIt was Thanksgiving so I ordered the Thanksgiving dinner. The turkey was too salty to eat (what were they trying to hide?) I asked, "wasn't this supposed to come with dinner rolls? Our waiter said "no. When we went up to pay the bill I grabbed a menu and sure enough, it showed my meal with bread and cranberries which, I had forgotten about. I did not ask for a discount on the meal. I instead chose to deduct the entire price of my meal from my waiters tip. (We normally do 20% or $20 minimum) After he paid for my meal, I took back $8 of his tip for not refilling our drinks once through the entire meal when He only had two other tables, then I round it down... Not using a calculator I figured $2 was probably close... The last time I tipped someone $2 was 1970 something... I would never have held him responsible for how nasty that food was but we literally had to watch him chat with other employees for 20 minutes while we waved our arms at him trying to get something to drink, he finally agreed to refill our sodas but didn't come back till the meal was over. I recently left a review for another Denny's in the area that was really awesome. I'm still not familiar enough with my new area to tell you where that was, but I know that it's a truck stop in the McAllen area... Next time, I'll make sure I go to that one! Hopefully this location will go out of business soon. Happy Thanksgiving, I guess when you're forced to work on a holiday, you may as well take it out on...
