Maxi Burgers — Restaurant in McAllen

(11/22/24) Update: Its been over a year and wanted to see if things are still good. I went with my parents. My mom had the Sincronizada, my dad had tacos matamoros. I had the a regular burger with cheese plus onion rings and bbq sause in the burger. Like a rodeo burger, they don't have it on the menu but they were able to make it. Everything was good, my parents said there food was good and my burger was great. They also sell wings so I order some to go. I just finished the wings (order buffalo flavor sause) and at least for me they were great. They were juicy and meaty and full of flavor. And that because I didn't eat them when they came out. I'm sure they would have been better. I think there the best wing I have eaten so far. Service was still good and priceses were still good. I would probably order the wings again.

(04/07/23) I have never been here but I heard great things. Took my parents there and we order 2 burgers Mexican and a bacon cheeseburger. Plus tacos Matamoros and the food was great. Disheartening Experience at Super Burgers

I recently visited Super Burgers with high expectations, but my experience left much to be desired. The waitress displayed a lack of familiarity with the menu, notably when she was unaware of the existence of tater tots, a menu item clearly listed. Despite my efforts to clarify my order, I was charged for a full order of tater tots, even after discussing the issue with the waitress.

The burger I received bore no resemblance to the enticing pictures advertised; the patty was disappointingly thin, and the overall taste did not meet expectations. Adding to the disappointment, the prices at Super Burgers are disproportionately high for the quality of the food.

Beyond the culinary aspects, the ambience of the restaurant was subpar, and the overall cleanliness left much to be desired. The unappealing atmosphere detracted from the dining experience, amplifying my dissatisfaction. So the food was tasty, but they charged me a dollar to add flour tortillas instead of corn for each order. Not a problem! They charged a dollar to add fajita to the papa asada! Not a problem! Then I noticed that the order was still $4.00 off what they already nickeled and dimed me for. When I asked, they said oh the prices have changed and that the prices on their menus were not correct so I pretty much had to just accept the new price. Then they forgot how to do math and charged $8.99 for bistec tacos that are originally $6.50. The papa did not have fajita, instead it had regular bistec that I paid to apparently upgrade. Lastly they charged 4% to use a credit card. Wow! They managed to gouge out about $6.00! Had they told me about all the $1.00 upgrades that apparently I made I prob would have been fine!
