Migas is a definite winner. Coffee is nice and smooth, not bitter. Water is an important item to me and this water tasted clean (RO). The migas were perfect in spice, crispiness of the chips, and egg doneness.
I can easily recommend this restaurant. Very old fashioned and welcoming with kind staff.
I’ll be back in town next week so think I’ll stop by again for another breakfast.
——————— 10/23/2025 update:
I’ve now had 3 visits here. 2 breakfasts and 1 lunch. All were absolutely fantastic meals that created the desire to return. The owner/operators are very personable and kind people as well. The staff are attentive and take great care of you.
Food comes out promptly and in my 3 visits, precisely as ordered.
I don’t believe I’ve ever felt more welcomed into a restaurant than here. Seriously this is what other restaurants should strive to deliver. Fantastic food, great environment to eat in and welcoming staff.
Breakfast: both the works omelet and migas were great (especially with the added salsa). 1000% get the fruit. The dip they provide is of similar idea to that which Jason’s deli gives. With the primary difference that this one makes Jason’s seem entirely inadequate.
Lunch: The chicken Parmesan is an excellent choice, I got pasta instead of potatoes. It was a very healthy portion and filled me up. Even the veggies it comes with are properly seasoned and cooked. The tea is wonderful, they do offer flavored teas but I did not try that.
TLDR: great establishment,...
Read moreWhile we love that this is a more local (non-franchised) place to go eat at, we affectionately call them "Hit or Miss". We have gone here several times and well, it is exactly that (Hit or Miss). SOME of the menu food items are good, some are NOT. Some of their wait staff is good, friendly, and personable AND some are unfriendly, unattentive, and horrible. Some times the food is prepared and cooked well and sometimes it is not (no consistency) Some times they are busy and you have to wait forever for a table and sometimes they are not and you actually get seated. (it is a really small, cramped space and you sort of sit on top of the table next to you) Some times they have menu items and some times they don't. (they claim sold out) Some times they have dessert items and some times they don't. (again they claim sold out) Some of the "sweet temptations" (desserts) are good and somehow some times they aren't (not sure how you screw up sugary desserts, but somehow they manage it) Some times they are open and some times they aren't. (closed evenings, Sunday & Monday for sure) You sort of roll the dice and take your chances with this place. Overall it is OKish, probably not the best for your $$$, but then who is around these parts. Try it or don't, you may or may not have good luck with good ol "Hit or Miss". (They really should...
Read moreOk so this is the 2nd time we have been here and we live an hour away. I need to try it again to make sure it was THAT good, and IT REALLY WAS! First of all the service was wonderful! Even before we were at the front door, they held the door and welcomed us like we were family and were directed to a table. The owner is extremely sweet and helpful. Last time we came she asked if it was our first time there, which it was and she asked if we needed help deciding and after asking her some questions she gave us great recommendations. I ordered the french toast and they were perfection! My husband got the omelette and both were executed very well! We could not stop thinking of those french toast so we came back today and he ordered another omelette and I got the chicken parm. Delicious! For dessert we shared the french toast. The veggies were seamed and not overcooked and the mashed was a little smoky in the best way! I drank peach tea and was surprised that it was actually not overly sweet. The atmosphere was like it you lived in one of those Hallmark movie small towns! My score is...
